Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

The update seemed quick and painless.

I jumped in and got my blueprint on the first run. Though I notice I'm a tad weak on power cell grabbing. I'll have to put a bit of focus on that since I already seem okay on the other stuff.

Though I may need to lose my great landing position and hit a fleet carrier. I don't want to be synthesising ammo continually. I only have about five phosphorus thingies.

Guardian Technology Components are not shown on your pic. You need a "jobby"-ton of those - 21 for the FSD booster unlock.

Not the best photograph, but evidence that I am trying to improve my camera skills.

A lesser-valued stratum - Paleas - but happily, on this moon at least, they grow side by side with the rather more valuable Aleoida Arcus, cr36m with first-discovered bonus.

I've now turned around and am heading back towards Colonia. Hull integrity on the Cobra V is down to around 90%, thanks to some cack-handed, low-level flying - nothing to worry about really, but I'm keen to see how much this excursion is worth and will buff the hull while I'm back in civilised space. I don't think I'll be hanging around... intention is to head back to black immediately.

Thank you for the offer Ashnak, but I'm going to leave it for a while. I might take myself to Colonia(?) to see what's there...
When you give it another try you might find that it's quite simple in concept. Sometimes the instruction is unclear though and you have to wing it a little.

I also find the SRV and turrent aiming to be annoying generally (I'm using an X-52 hotas). I use the turret for shooting pylons but just stay in normal mode to get a lock on sentinels. Pretty easy prey.

Here's what I was doing anyway. Though I still need to get a fourth blueprint and mats next time.

1) Land here while making sure you have point defence on your ship to shoot down sentinel missiles.

2) Head to the first pylon in your SRV and shoot the blue light till it charges. It's not forgiving when it comes to accuracy so I prefer to get close. The timer will start but it's not an issue when you know the layout. I've usually already opened the cargo hatch at this point so I don't forget for later when I grab materials (same with surface mining).

3) Follow the red line to shoot all the pylons. You may need to scoop up a Guardian Relic along the way if you don't have one. Just shoot the tower thingy. You'll drop this on the X you see on the floor by the alter.

4) A ball thing will raise out of the alter with something inside. Scan that in analysis mode. You now have a blueprint frangment you need to unlock a module type and will be attacked by several sentinels.

5) You can now collect materials at your leisure. Follow the green line to collect materials from the towers. They usually have three panels to shoot off and some materials will drop. You can obsviously scan for Obelisk Data along the way but I haven't given that as much attention as I maybe should have. I dont know how important it is.

Like I say, I just need a fourth blueprint since you can only store enough mats to unlock four module types anyway. It should be quicker to relog and collect materials after that.

did the thursday change not happen?
Was it included as part of the trailblazer udate yesterday?

As you were --- it happened an hour later than expected!
Today's maintenance took place as normal, in addition to what happened yesterday.

I'm still mooching around finding new systems and planets to spray paint my name on. What I'd really like, though, is to find some NSP. Haven't seen any in quite some time.

I suppose I oiugt to research where they're mot likely to pop up.
