New ship: Panther Clipper

That is totally correct.

Indeed they won't...

But this is FD, and the word is "Balance", allegedly.

It will likely carry just a little more than a T9 / Cutter stripped out to just haul (for balance, of course)
Be slower than the T9 (see above)
Have a massively under-rated PP / Distro (same)

Unlikely to be anything even approaching the beast it was in the earlier games, to save the inevitable complaints of being OP or P2W on release...
If you are correct, I won't be buying it. I've had enough of the emasculated/castrated ships from these guys.

If multicrew only had visible crewmates... Something which really bothers me and there's no explanation because a teammate can actually sit in the gunner's chair. But maybe... just maybe the bridge of the Panther is the beginning of something bigger.

A game with an amortised expansion. I've not seen any sign that FDev are doing anything significant with Odyssey in the near or far future.

Although they can prove me wrong with that whenever they want.

They are doing things. Not sure what you expect, but development takes time.

Consider...there are a TON of ELW out there that could be landable in one update. Something tells me that those planets are in for a future expansion. We already have planets we can walk on, have buildings, and planets with plant life.

So how much would it take for them to make ELW that have more plant life, etc? I don't think it would be much of a stretch, but then I don't know the game engine's capability.

To build a working, albeit minimalist, weather/climate model on even just the ELWs that can run in realtime, along side all the stuff its currently doing...
They've probably already done it.... I'd even wager they've had it for a long time.

To make all that run simultaneously on a mid-range PC reliably at 60fps... I wouldnt be holding my breath waiting.
A certain other space game <cough>Stall Citizen<cough>, springs to mind. And their engine ~sort of~ had everything built in from the ground floor.

A long time. You would be correct.
