I haven't used any mechanical spinner drives in my desktop rig for 4 years or so....I've got a few 2 or 4Tb 2.5" SATA SSD's shoved in a box on my spares shelf, but no mechanical drives at all....I don't even have a drive rack in my PC case. 🤷‍♂️

My current MB has 4 x m.2 slots, 2 x gen 5's and 2 x gen 4's eliminating the need for even SATA cable SSD's. If I get to the point where I need more than 12Tb of NVME space for games...I'll uninstall something :)
mechanical drive are much faster today, the difference isn't as great as it used to be, and the lifespan of SDDs is rather short, so mechanical drives are still relevant.

Short lifespan compared to what though? I'll be dead long before any of my m.2's have as much as a dodgy sector...either that or they'll have been replaced by the newest greatest thing in (internal) data storage as and when it appears on the home consumer market at a decent price.

I've nothing against mechanical drives besides the older 3.5" IDE/SCSI or SATA internal drives being relatively slow for 'modern' gaming requirements...but outside of the newer more specialised external data storage and transfer hardware, for gaming or general use on a home PC (even my PS5 has a 2Tb WD Black NVME expansion in it) and besides the 2.5" SATA cable internal SSD options, an NVME/m.2 boot drive slot has been a standard fitment on practically every PC motherboard manufactured since 2015 🤷‍♂️

How can you even claim to support large-scale space battles with hundreds of players and ships when the servers crash after just 10 to 20 people at a station? That’s ridiculous and shows how poorly you’re managing this.

And then today’s chaos: on almost every server I joined, Seraphim Station was unplayable – with massive lag, bugs, and in some cases, the game even crashed my PC, requiring a full restart. The claim that ships no longer work, and the entire inventory system is completely down. That’s just an insult and an outrage!

Best reply 😋:
Guess people didn't buy enough Idrises, Armor/paint packs, and Flightblades/paint packs...
