New ship: Panther Clipper

Summer is a difficult thing to judge these days... with climate change...
Here in South Africa we went from summer last year into winter... into more winter... and now are currently in winter... Hopefully we won't get snow again when we go to winter again in august.

Here in the UK it is officially late spring as defined by today being when Springwatch starts on the BBC this year.

Summer offically starts in the UK when the sky god deems the time proper.

Until then, we must wait for the signals.

The only way to speed the process is via the usual methods.

re: Docking, collisions are someone else's problem. Just use the standard T-10 manoeuvre - drift unstoppably toward the mailslot, if anything gets in the way, boost until it's no longer an issue. If it works for clearing the mailslot jams at Jameson in Shinrarta Dezhra, it'll work anywhere.

I mean, sometimes there's a rebuy or a criminal record, but the rebuy for the Panther Clipper is going to be fine, right?

Hi All :)

I've been skimming through this topic and I've looked at the most recent livestream concerning the ship but I couldn't see what I'm trying to find out anywhere so....question.
Is the Panther Clipper going to be tied in with a Cmdr.'s ranking to purchase it I wonder? 🤔

Another observation whilst I was viewing the livestream was that of the front and rear engines in flight. I'm particularly thinking about the 'thrust vector' of the front engines would seem to be slightly obstructed by the rear engine's nacelle?
If you look at the Frontier Unlocked coverage of the Panther video (Approximately 9.0 minutes in) you can see that more clearly as it shows a view from the side of the ship. Or am I not seeing it right!
In other words the 'jet stream' of the front engines hasn't got an unobstructed flow to the rear....I'm possibly being too pernickety perhaps. :D

Jack :)

Personally I think all military ships should be removed from military rank... replaced with something like... idk... Empire/Federal rank gives a 5% discount to purchases of cosmetics for navy ships and 10% discount on credits to purchasing navy ships. Makes rank still useful to grind to save irl money!
Except for the Cutter. Cutter should be moved to emperor imperial rank, one after King-rank. and need 300 hours of non stop grinding to unlock.

I recently broke into a fit of laughing cause of joy when I remembered that I never ever have to fly a cutter ever again, thanks to having reset my account some years ago. I got the clipper, got the corvette. and I will NEVER do another navy rank up mission again! I NEVER HAVE TO FLY A CUTTER AGAIN!!!

The cutter just handles so awful! The Type 9 is much more enjoyable to fly!
And this goes to my overall hope with the Panther Clipper: decent cargo capacity, is a big slow heavy ship but also good to fly, and needs to look good and not have that exposed cargo rack junk.

Otherwise... idk... I'll just continue using the Type 9, Corsair and Corvette for trading-missions and mining, and having a fun time flying them. Then spend my irl money on Blotgun 2 or a packet of chips.

Today is the day for some Live Stream or something, right? Where we will - hopefully - get a crumb or two more on PC, at least maybe an approx date.

At what time it usually goes?
