I just remembered I didn't shared my thoughts about the new animals:
Blackbuck: the essential antelope from India, a common animal in zoos and very often requested by the community. 10/10
Bornean elephant: I've usually tolerated the less popular animals of previous DLCs, like the proboscis monkey, the coyote or the saiga. However, this time I really think this is the worst choice made by Frontier after the Himalayan brown bear. I support "clones" like the American black bear, the American flamingo, a cold biome otter, the Nile crocodile, etc because they bring diversity in terms of biomes or continents. However, the Bornean elephant doesn't add anything that wasn't offered by the Indian elephant. My only hope is that they fix the Indian elephant zoopedia map (Sri Lanka should be removed from the Indian elephant map). 2/10
Honey badger: if this animal had come long ago I would have been upset, but since it comes after having already gotten the European badger and wolverine, I'm ok with its inclusion. It's a popular choice among the community and seems to offer a big range both geographically and in terms of biomes. 8/10
Lion-tailed macaque: more monkeys is good and this one looks cool. Maybe a grey langur would have been more useful, but this one looks more unique. 10/10
Pere David's deer: it's conservation history alone justifies that this animal is added to the game. I wanted this one and a muntjac, so from now on my deer efforts can focus on the little one. And this is another good time to repeat my claim for getting antlers as building pieces. 9/10
Nilgai: I didn't need this one, but I understand why it's popular and I'm glad we are getting it too along with the blackbuck (and not instead of). 8/10
Tanuki: I know it's kind of an icon, but it wasn't in my wishlist. The model looks phenomenal and it lives in cold biomes, which is good since I like building in cold maps. 8/10
Malabar rose butterfly: a free animal is always good. Of course, I prefer a cobra, chameleon or gecko, but a new butterfly is ok and it took me by surprise. 8/10
