Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I am pretty sure the ground crew just pull the partially filled ammo boxes and bang new ones in from stock.
This is what i’d assumed over the years, but still wasn’t really sure - thanks, also saw your post after i’d replied above & a browser refresh 👍

You used the mats to transform the ammo so they are gone forever whether you shoot the ammo out the gun or rearm in a station.
You can rearm individual weapons in the Advanced maintenance tab to avoid loss of premium in weapons that aren’t full and IIRC fully ammo Ed weapons with premium aren’t touched by the do everything button.
Ah yes, there are those finer-grained options as well, though tbh i haven’t been too concerned about the mats losses as i collect as i play - mostly i use that to repair ship integrity while exploring without spoiling the paintwork wear :)

Hi All
I did attempt some play time this morning but today's temps have made any further attempts rather unbearable.

I may try again once Mr. Sun has taken his hat off and gone to bed.

Tomorrow, as it stands though, looks to be a complete loss 🥵
I managed a 2 hour gaming session late last night, but eventually gave up, due to the oppressive heat and the effects of a few glasses of whisky, laced with ice cubes and Canada Dry ginger ale! 🥴

It peaked at 27C in Liverpool as I helped a guy by pushing his car through a junction and it reminded me I need to do more exercise. My legs were cooked but fortunately the car started when I paused for a second time.
It's apparently going to be as, if not hotter in some parts today....I'm actually playing the game now as I've got some stacked missions to complete, but there's a nice cool breeze blowing into the room from the open window at the moment. 😌

I can not apologise enough for that, I don't know what came over me...

🤣

Jack :)

I normally play in the window 14:00-16:00 game time, but didn’t bother yesterday due to the heat.
Today for reasons I woke around 04:00 and as it was only 26C in the computer room got in a decent session, due to not switching the light on and the window being west facing the sky views in the game were especially good.

Will you lot stop boasting about your glorious weather, please - it hasn’t been over 20C in months here and probably won’t stop raining till September 🥶😅
I'm on my way. Where are you? :D

I am a hater of this weather, I'm afraid.

Just did a GCZ and it seems my team compadres forgot how to capture checkpoints. Tch. I had to do all the hard work for them while they just spectacularly ran into enemy fire. But... it was a blast.

Arf arf.

Just a few months ago it was too hot to sleep, now i’m craving warmth - what ever happened to autumn? :D

I think 'za' is South Africa? (In ]M['s user name avatar) ;)

I've got a couple of stacked missions left to do / finish off....but I've still got 5 hours left to finish those so I'm packing it in for now and going to cool down watching some television and catch up with the (at this moment pretty depressing globally speaking).main news.

I don't mind this weather as long as I can stay cool. My one dream in life was to go and live down by the coast somewhere in Wales, unfortunately we didn't get there (My wife had other ideas ).
Still, there's a live beach webcam I've got bookmarked for an area we used to go for holidays there, so now and again (pretty much daily at the moment) I have a look to see that surf roll in on the beach!...it's been raining there today though.

I don't think the light will be that significant in heating the room, maybe 30 or 40 Watts.
My graphics card alone (RX9070 XT) uses 330 Watts in silent mode, the air coming out of the back of the pc is quite hot.
Luckily, my room temperature is within an acceptable limit; 25 degrees Celsius at the end of the afternoon, (outside it's 39).
I don't have an Airco, only a ceiling fan.

Less than that as I have LED bulbs installed.

The reference to light was purely in terms of brightness, in the dim predawn west light the screen was the brightest thing in the room making the fainter bits of the nebulae much more noticeable.

It's 32° C outside.
Interesting. It is 30C here right at the moment, which I find pretty warm, but I do have a couple air conditioners in the living room, so the house is pretty comfy.

The highest temp I've seen here is about 44C, which was insanely hot.

On that same day, our air conditioner went out, so were were sweltering inside. My wife had to have surgery that day (minor, but painful) and she was on the couch trying to recover in the heat. Our one little dog, older and weak, couldn't take the heat and died right in front of us.

That was not a good day.

Wow. A bad day indeed.

And 44... Holy mackerel. That's nuts!

The weather here just broke and rain has fallen. A few rumbles of thunder. The oppressive humidity has lifted which is a complete blessing. And this does mean I'll be able get some quality game time in so... hooray for everything \o/

Hi All :)

Whew!...a lot cooler this morning :)

Awww...😞, I'm so very sorry about your dog, that must've been heart breaking., but that wasn't recently was it?...I've previously mentioned we've had 3 dogs, but after saying good bye to the last one I couldn't go through that emotional trauma again...so we're dog less now, still miss them though. I think other dogs with their owners (when we meet them) can sense your feelings here...those dogs usually come straight up to me for a fuss and contact...I just think they can sense your affection for them, and so feel relaxed and sociable.
Talking of the heat again...I've got a waterfall, fountain and aerator pump going in my garden pond, but still managed to lose 1 large old goldfish two days ago to the heat I think, must admit, that goldfish wasn't in the best of health (dropsy, basically) so in some ways it was ok that it died (I didn't eventually have to do the dirty deed myself) I buried it under the compost heap yesterday. 😬

Hi :)

I've just watered the vegetables (and flowers) again early this morning, watered some stuff late last night but everything was mostly dry as a bone this morning....we really need some good honest rain here (Warwickshire).
We're supposed to visit my Son and Family in Cambridgeshire in a week or two's time so I hope the weather gets a bit cooler, they've also had it quite hot down there this week.

Hi :)
There's always one right? Got up to 48.9c here once!

...Seriously...I can't take the heat very well these days (I'm 74 this month) it really bugs me that when you get older you've a tendency for your body to not be able to regulate the heat very well, unless you're super fit probably.
At least I'm sweating naturally, it's when you can't sweat is the dangerous / critical situation. 🤔...48 or 50 degrees for any length of time would see me off this mortal coil I should think!
Strangely enough I watched a documentary about skin yesterday, animals and humans...interesting...how we all get rid of heat. Anyhow, I digress again...

Hi :)
It's only reaches 23 degrees C here in the day but the irony of that is everything, including video cards, is liquid cooled. Just 50 miles inland it's 100+ degrees F. Gotta love that Humbolt current.

Humboldt current...I immediately thought of giant Squid when you mentioned that! :D

Right!...some toast, coffee and some serious gametime is called for this morning!...I see the Panther Clipper topics are still well debated about!......I might post up a reply in one of them saying I think the cargo space should be reduced to 512t...:devilish:...'chuckles maniacally'...of course, I wouldn't! :ROFLMAO:
I nearly forgot to do those last few trade missions yesterday, squeaked in with 10 minutes to spare!...just stacking up a load more, and my credit balance is now nearly at the 50 billion mark, so I might splash out on some new sco drives and ships, plus a few thousand tons of Tritium.

Observation...
'Wanted Commanders'...I've noticed at one of my built stations (Coriolis) there's some new headings in the station menus that give info about Commanders with a price on their heads, and where last seen in the galaxy (I've seen this in the past at other stations so I'm familiar with it btw.)
Have any of you ever taken this information on board and actively sought them out?...I've thought about it, but never tried playing the game in that way, at least not yet ...:sneaky:...Hmm, I wonder if it would be 'interesting' gameplay to be able to hire npc 'professional assassins' to seek these pilots out? ...or at least get them to accompany you to achieve this task in trying to claim the bounty...might be interesting. Though the price in credits to hire them should be pretty high, depending on assassin notoriety, or 'class'.

Okay, time to trade!
Jack :)
