Now is time for Bonus Ride Collection DLC

I preordered the game just because of not wanting to miss those rides later!
If I would have waited to buy PC2 after release, I would had profited of the bad reviews and the very, very early PC2 sales.

I don't say that those rides never should be available for all, but it's far to early to ask for it! You guys wanting it, should have to wait for a couple of years... Then it's up to Frontier if they want to make some extra money or release it for free (I prefer the first).

you still don't get the point, you are being teased with advertising for the bonus ride collection DLC, I decided to buy it by pressing the button only to find out the DLC doesn't exist, the game now feels incomplete to me and has taken away my enjoyment of the game now that I know the game is incomplete for me

This is what European law says about it, Unfair Commercial Practices Directive (2005/29/EC):

This directive prohibits misleading

commercial practices. The fact that the game constantly gives you a pop-up to buy "Bonus Rides Collection" when it is not for sale, and even shows a "Go to Shop" button that leads nowhere (for that specific content), can be seen as a misleading commercial practice. It gives an incorrect impression about the availability of a product.

You dont get the point we are trying to make. Because we already agreed with you that frontier should fix this and remove that popup :) but as we know frontier they probably wont fix this for a longer time

Thanks for confirming also my point, that i bought the preorder under the promise of exclusive content (not limited to only a few months exclusivity). So basically if frontier releases that content to all than basically all people who preorder it are „victims“ of false advertisement, or as you said „misleading business practices“…

After removing the pop-ups, the problem isn't gone, because we now know that a large portion of players don't have the complete game. Also, I never contradicted you; I merely pointed out that you received the content for free while we got it as a paid DLC. So, you still have an advantage after getting the DLC, which is the amount the DLC will cost.

Doesnt change the fact about the content being given to me under the promise of bonus and exclusivity for preordering it :)

Start a new topic here to address this properly once the DLC is actually released for purchase. As it stands, that's not the case yet

Your pointing on it directly, but you still don't understand it... Like I said, it's an early bird thing and you were too late.

There's nowhere said (except the workshop link issue) that you would be able to purchase those bonus rides later.
The workshop link probably was copied from a real dlc instead of saying
"you don't own this content (this was available for pre orders, only)".

If you might think that there are rides you ever won't be able to use, is an other story...
Even if you want to pay for it, we've paid a lot more for the package!

My problem is that I did pre-bought it on ps5 and then moved on to PC and had to buy it again but then lost them of course. So yes at least I would like to be able to get them again.
In your case I would try to allow cross platform players to use all their (purchased) content on all platforms. I would charge a cross platform fee for it but then you would have to buy each dlc just once...
Probably it's difficult to organise this, but as PC2 is digital only (isn't it?) it should be possible to avoid prohibited use.

You keep reiterating that it's an "early bird thing" and that I was "too late". I understand the concept of a pre-order bonus. However, my point, which you seem to miss, is about the integrity of the game experience and the misleading information within it.

Regarding your claim that "we've paid a lot more for the package!": The Bonus Ride Collection was given as a pre-order bonus with the standard game purchase, or as an extra for those buying Deluxe/Premium editions for other content. We did not pay an additional premium specifically for these three rides above the game's launch price or respective edition price. The 'bonus' was simply getting them at the time of pre-order.

Furthermore, the core issue remains: The game actively tells players like me to "Buy Bonus Rides Collection" and click "To Shop", while it's not available for purchase on Steam. This is a misleading commercial practice. This fragmentation also severely harms the ability to use and share community-created parks, which is a vital part of this game.

Ultimately, a game like Planet Coaster thrives on a complete and shared experience. My goal is simply for all players to have access to the full content advertised by the game, whether it's through a fair purchase or by being made available to everyone.

Not a fan of exclusive locked content especially in a single player game.

Especially in a game that is a bit about sharing parks and appreciate another's content, we should somehow have a level playing field.
So yeah, bring it as 4,99€ DLC, I am happy that i could get it early and 'for free'.

Having 'timed' exclusives hurts all consumer more in the long run and bigger picture than giving up on exclusivity.

This is of course just my opinion :)

Like I said, if the workshop is telling you wrong things, then it's because of (again) Frontier's lousy work...

I wouldn't consider the pre order bonus rides as "actually, you'll get it for free", it's more a "thank you for supporting us, therefore you'll get exclusive content".

You can have different opinions, but just think about if you would have preordered the game just because of those rides...

Personally I couldn't care less one way or another. Likely others feel the same way.

I didn't order the game in advance because of the pre-book goodies - I ordered it because I wanted the game upon release. Period. If you were to ask me what the pre-book bonus items even were I wouldn't have a clue. I suspect that many other players also bought the game at release because that's when the new game became available, and the pre-book bonus items weren't really part of the equation. Instead it was to get our hands on a new game that we'd been looking forward to for months...

Were there people who decided to pre-book just because of the bonus offers? Sure, no doubt there were. But I suspect more did so just to make sure they had their hands on the game as soon as it was released. They got the bonus items...seven months ago. Is the exclusiveness of that handful of items really that important?

Offering the pre-book bonus items for sale now just isn't that big a deal in my opinion. Certainly not worth an argument about. Frontier will decide - not us.

Yes, they need to deal with the pop-up, but seriously, that's because of Frontier's lack of attention to such things and not for nefarious reasons. There's more than a few other things Frontier doesn't get around to addressing either, so this shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone.

Life is vastly different for everyone. To punish a player because they couldnt afford to pre order, or were simply not able to pre order is not fair!

Because of how this game launched, i will not be pre ordering anything from Frontier in the future. Does that mean because im wanting to wait and see what a game is like, that i should then miss out on any content for that game?

If you bought the pre order because of FOMO, thats on you!

In general you're right, but why should Frontier take away the deserved exclusiveness (is this a word?) for "a hand full of rides", only seven months later?

I'm not totally against making it available somewhen in the future (for purchase or free). People don't have any disadvantage while playing the game (except not being able to build this specific content)...

I can't buy the Bonus Rides Collection DLC that's heavily promoted by pop-ups, and that's a problem I run into multiple times a day. How can it not affect the game for new players? It absolutely does! As a new player, why shouldn't I be allowed to build a dark ride with the FD Vision? Why do I have to wait 5 years according to your idea.

It's a bit funny to read your last sentence, because it's used as argumentation for wanting it now...

Let's Frontier decide if and when it's an option to make it available...
Maybe one day some people

Really no, I'm responding to your idea of waiting until the 5-year anniversary.
