I'm waiting for the driver update as that's apparently bringing the DLSS4 update to ray reconstruction too. Hopefully should help with shadowing issues.
I believe DLSS 4 is being enabled for all RTX cards with the new driver coming on the 30th no?

Ah, I'd been told there was one due later in the month which properly implements missing ray reconstruction improvements for DLSS4 that the new CP77 patch supports but were not yet in the existing drivers, meaning the new patch's transformer model option is missing some of the improvements for the first week and explaining ingame performance of the new system not quite matching the quality shown off in preview footage. The 571.96 driver has been available as part of the CUDA 12.8 Toolkit for a few days. I've separated/stripped down the driver, and packaged it with a few tools here.
The DLSS4 update should be working in Cyberpunk with just the game's patch, I don't think a new driver is required. However, the new driver does seem slightly faster with the new transformer model for ray reconstruction.

Finally, I've worked out why I've struggled to get into this game.
Be warned, the mother of all spoilers lurks below...
Thankfully I’ve got the GoG version so I’ll not be automatically updating. Early posts make it sound like a vehicle focused update - I’ll be watching the stream with interest!Patch 2.3 arriving (likely very) soon. There is a 'RedStream' due today to reveal 2.3, so, expect any or many mods that you may be running to become a bit wobbly once it lands.
One thing that I've noticed with GOG (for STALKER) is that the sizes of the patches seem to be noticeably larger than those deployed over Steam.Thankfully I’ve got the GoG version so I’ll not be automatically updating. Maybe because they offer all of them as part of offline installer? One thing that I've noticed with GOG (for STALKER) is that the sizes of the patches seem to be noticeably larger than those deployed over Steam.
It's not irritating at all. No. Honestly it's not.
In other news, I also tell big fat lies...
Good point! One that I'd forgotten.Maybe because they offer all of them as part of offline installer?
Which none other platform does. Absolutely love GOG for it and I buy my games there whenever I can.
I have a massive collection of installers on my NAS thanks to them, and all of them don't require gog to work. Like the good old days.
CDPR haven't directly produced any of the game's patches for just about a year now, tinkering around the edges fixing bugs, duplicating or enhancing mechanics and adding collectables is basically the extent of what the third party support studio are able to pull off.Although free stuff is nice, I kind of wanted more NCPD jobs and news on any Edgerunners 2 tie ins. I die a little more each time CDPR tinker with photo mode because for me its something I never use.
Which is fine, however this is not what most fans (going by the chat on the livestream) want. If you can make cars unlockable via sidequests you can just as easily find unpopulated areas of NCs map and make NCPD crime hotspots with existing assets. This already happened (of sorts) with the Trauma Team mega shootout- no need to do anything other than create a situation and resolve it via text logs / shards.CDPR haven't directly produced any of the game's patches for just about a year now, tinkering around the edges fixing bugs, duplicating or enhancing mechanics and adding collectables is basically the extent of what the third party support studio are able to pull off.
