New ship: Panther Clipper

So... here it is. 1152 tons of cargo, size 6 prismatics with four boosters for now, engineered default armor, SCO drive of course - all still missing experimentals. 1658 shields, 1473 armor, so basically a paper plane for that size. Not planning to take it to open. I added a size 4 FSD booster for convenience, it jumps 40 ly empty, 28.5 ly fully loaded.

Flying it in VR is an interesting experience. Not as boring as the Type 9, by orders of magnitude less disgusting than the Cutter . Bridge is interesting, view out the canopy is quite restricted. But so far I like it - not sure if I like it enough to drive it for hours on end, but for now it is fun.

Also survived my first NPC interdiction in it. The good: I won. The bad: The minigame UI disappears beyond the window frame. Oh well.

So I present: Crunchy Frog.

I've checked the price in your screenshot vs Coriolis. It seems the discount is still in effect, maybe just a missing text bug ?

Yeah, I just checked Shin Dez against EDSY prices and I would concur that it is just missing text after all.

Well ya, I mean c'mon the Pink Panther paint job would be very appropriate. Maybe some Henry Mancini music for auto docking/launching to go with it. Ooo and a tail that wags! Side note- cool ship name

I haven't had time to get one yet, I am very pleased to see I was wrong to assume and speculate about the jump ranges. Am very glad to read the weapon mount was changed so it doesnt shoot through a hundred feet of the hull. I'm still in favor of a couple of hundred more tons, but that is a very trivial wish. I am so excited about this ship. The hype, the mystery, the cryptic information, and this past weeks community goal has been an absolute roller coaster of fun for me. *i'm up, I'm down, I'm all over the damn place, all very well done! Holy crapith i cannie wait to play with this thing!

Issues: I find supercruse flight jarring due how the ship roll works, rotates super fast for a split second the instant slow turns. It does not feel natural.

I have done two runs in the CG from a Coriolis to planetside bases it was a pleasant experience, roll feels slowish pitch is good and yaw almost the same as roll.
Beat an NPC interdiction on one trip and squeezed through a partially blocked slot twice.
Loop of SCO overshoot isn't as fast as some.

Unfortunately I didn't bring my Cutter to compare and while it is nice to fly I am not sure comparing it to a Corsair is fair.

Another 1800t would go down nicely, but, even after my whining about low capacity (I'm on 1100+ with good enough shields) it is not too bad to fly, worse than the Cutter but better than the T-9, it does feel 'heavy', so nice!

I am so excited about this ship.

I suspect, even with its miniscule capacity, once you drop off 1k+ it might grow on you...

2x Panther Clippers purchased. Much like CMDR Helmut Grokenberger's with only minor variations. I'll keep the shields at least until I know the ship sizes better and can avoid scraping the docking slot in best Galaxy Quest style.

My ship names for the Panther Clippers:

Might be revised if I come up with better names.

I use a class 2 FSD booster for now, +6 LY jump distance while the class 4 gives +9.3 LY. Your mileage may vary.

You get that boost regardless of empty or full.
I'm hauling 1100+ and have just under 30 LY jump fully laden (40 empty)
