The only purpose of those structures must be to make players collide to them and accidentally destroy their shieldless cargo ships.
I wonder more about orbital construction. On the ground, you build to keep things from the default of falling down. In orbit, you want to keep things from flying apart.
 
It is the Sim aspect of the game a lack of logic and optimisation adds to the feeling of 'reality'.

Sure, but we're already playing a game where all these stations have a single narrow corridor used for both entrance and exit - a terribly inefficient design to start with when there's no reason it couldn't have separate entrance and exit lanes - but no ATC to negotiate passage through it, plus strict time limits on hanging around inside to encourage people to try to leave even if it's not completely clear.

The point is that it would cost far more to put that support beam somewhere else than the value (about three credits per decade) of the lives it would save.

The weird part is that stations DO have ATC, it just doesn't do anything except make sarcastic comments about "giving way to larger ships" when you're flying a Panther Clipper into the mailslot while a Type 6 is coming the other way...
 
Ship livery is working fine but the station livery (for redecorating your colonies) is borked for me too. Going in to the option just gives a window with a blank icon in it, but clicking on the blank icon then takes me into the normal station paint job screen.
I'll have to try that with my mouse. With the selection keys on the joystick I can't ever seem to really 'select' it

This! I want this addressed. If im am in a Cutter, Type 9, Conda, PCII, then by god if I smear a DBX that whizzed into the mailslot ahead of me over the interior walls like swatted fly, there should be no response at all.

I hope all these icon bugs are sorted out before station Interior cosmetics are introduced, with all the variations of interior decorations and interior station themes if these icons don't perform perfectly we'll all be in a right pickle.😏

Dear developers, you brought me back to my childhood as a panther), please add a camouflage, they are one in one, they look like each other. ❤️❤️❤️

Looks like the additional mass of the heavier armours will exceed the maximum mass supported by either your thrusters or shields.
I have both Military Grade and Reactive Surface Composites on Panthers, so it can work.
hmmm im running 8A trusters, im running the core all within the spec the class states, i know this can happen if you lets say use a 5D truster instead of a 6a but im on 8A lol the total says 2835 so i havnt hit overmass either

Aye, my money's on those drives thrusters. It depends on the rest of your loadout but much past G2 Dirty might be a problem.
Go 8A for a smoother ride ;)
