It will be a medium, they confirmed this. But the Mandalay is a 400ish T ship. The Type-8 by comparison can be outfitted to be twice as heavy.

I expect the Type-11 to also be a much heavier ship than the Mandalay, even without payload.

Hypothetical sci-fi math jokes aside, Mandalay landing gear on a Lakon ship just won't look good. And it breaks the whole "Lakon theme" they were so proud of.

When you're mining in a dark planetary ring, the mining laser will be very bright and it flashes a lot on the right side of the cockpit. I think it'll be too annoying.

I imagine the landing gear will look like the type 8 gear, industrial, considering they share an industrial style. Not sure why you think they will be like the Mandalay?
