Covered over the oculus rifts motion camera and colours faded but the lighting levelled off slightly.
Wondering if some form of other device implementation (head tracker) has caused the rifts drivers to play up??
This is how i think it works:
Directional lights do not have a specific emmiter, they just come from a certain direction. These lights can be rendered exactly the same in both eyes since the lights reflection from objects would be percieved identically by both eyes.
Point lights have an emitter in 3D space and since the light comes from a specific location and the light bounces slightly differently into each eye, requiring seperate rendering for each eye. Something turned off the stereoscopic rendering for point lights.
