ok tried it again, no idea why it was workign before in the tutorial, however i too have the issue.
but performance........... wow!
I am a bit worried that this is a false high!. Right now (apart from the right eye lighting bug) the game is flawless in the rift on medium, in a station at 72hz refresh on a GTX670 (overclocked)
even HIGH is playable in a station but there is a bit of stutter.
I didnt try low persistence 75hz but this represents a serious boost in performance.
Before I crack out the bubbly however I am left wondering if this performance boost is due to the fact that only 1 eye is doing any of the lighting effects.
I guess its not an issue for a flat screen but for 3D or oculus rift it is a non-starter. I kind of expect for performance to drop again once it is fixed, but would love to be wrong
it was so nice being able to up the detail however. its only subtle but everything just looks a little nicer, even on medium compared to low.
