agreed. it's not about if it's a good game or not! personally i think it is, and with the potential to be great if carried forward in the right spirit! my regrets are for another reason that's best not gone into here. glad you're enjoying it : )

Piece of escapism sums it up to me. Considering it's been a beta process I've spent around 100 hours on there so far. That isn't nostalgia speaking I would add, it's just the right game for me.

And OP, you're welcome. I stuck in £100 at the Kickstarter stage and more for the Alpha as I was that enthusiastic about getting involved. Haven't regretted it.

Cheers OP, and welcome to the community! Backed on the 2nd day of Kickstarter, but only to the Pre-Order game tier. Upgraded to Beta 1 as soon as the option was available. Loving every moment! :)

You're very welcome.. it has been a fun few years watching the game grow from the kickstarter to Gamma, and we are now at the beginning of a whole new phase. I'm glad to see lots of new people on the forums and Commanders in game.

I had a beautiful experience yesterday. Had a 'bad morning' and my posts were terser than usual considering the point(s) under discussion. But an hour or so later there were a flurry of reps back and forth and 'thanks and sorry' posts. It was nice that although we didn't agree, we could at least joke about it. I don't know another community that can be like that.

I'm just delighted Frontier are making Elite Dangerous, delighted I and others kickstarted it, and delighted to have the rest of you along for the journey, (well, mostly :p), thanks not needed but appreciated all the same :).

The bugs will be fixed and more will be added. This is a given, and it's such an enjoyable game. Can't wait until all the proper wings/groups can be formed and in sync with the environment. :)

Best kickstarter i ever joined (and the game has so MUCH potential with future updates). A lot of good people as well, pretty different from other game communities. Rep for alot of people in this thread :)
