It's pretty clear that the rare commodities are absolutely imbalanced and need to be nerfed. But I also think all the other activities (bounties, missions) give WAY too few money. Mining has a glass ceiling too. I hope they do some major re-balancing and buff the other activities.
So far I've made about 6.5 mil / hour in a 128 asp.
Q: how to you get 128T? mine maxed at 124 with all cargo fitted.
To me the profit available for the rare trading is what should be available for the Drug smugglers, Gun Runners, or illegal activity where their is RISK!/REWARD. if you get caught their a reputation or worse consequences for your commander.
With rares their is no risk and huge reward, interdiction is too easy to avoid.
If running an asp you're perfectly fine using one of the size 2 slots for a high quality scoop. I do my runs with a 120t no shield asp and a A5 FSD now and it's not exactly long covering the 150LY per run...
What I'm not settled on yet is 16T or 32T fuel tank... But I'm leaning towards 16T to maximise my single jump range.
Is the fuel tank on an internal slot? if its not then just fit the 32T tank and 50% fill it. Thats what i do to max my range especially if the next hop is a long one, dont over fill your tank.
If its an internal slot then i can see the benefit of fitting a 16T to a class 4 slot and cargo to the class 5. but i don't think it works like that.
