Community Event / Creation The Conclave Episode 2 - Micro-transactions and PvP

Just listening now, just one point from me, I don't mind micro-transactions per say but don't do what they do in games like farmville ect where you can't get certain things unless you pay cash for them. even if something that costs 10 quid costs 10,000 credits in game for example, but don't make an advantage that you can only pay cash for........

finished listening and you have done a great job piecing it together..

Bravo... making us all sound slightly more intelligent than we are... and outtakes are fast becoming legendary

yeah even I sounded reasonable, considering the whole talking to myself thing was really throwing me off, not used to having one way conversations lol

I can't listen to it :(

My voice ... seriously ... I hate it.
Some people have a face for radio ... I have neither the face or the voice :)

[backpedal mode] I love rollercoaster tycoon 3 ... it's not boring ... but other people who play CoD might fnd that type of game boring [/backpedal mode]

I think I got away with that :D

Ha welcome to our world I hated the first episodes we did. Even my wife said don't worry you don't sound like that in real life.

You were great, your voice sounds fine :)

You're too kind ... flattery will get you everywhere ... a flat battery, however, will get you nowhere :D

To those listening to the out-takes at the end ... and read the Thargoid and Fer-De-Lance thread ... yes Pyskokow really does have "toot-toot chugga-chugga big red car" as his ringtone ... and I thought he made that up for the thread :D

Great episode :D

And pyskokow's ringtone, why doesn't that surprise me in the slightest

Always fascinating to hear the people behind the forum name. You all came across really well. Funnily enough everyone says I've got the perfect face for radio :D

Well, I completely misunderstood what was meant by microtransactions. I thought you meant "non-station related trading actions in the game" and not "in-app purchases".

Smeg. Apologies.

and that my dear fellow is why your answer was not in the first submission section :)

However congratulations as i listened to your answer 4 times late last night before I realised that fact :D

Can't wait to hear it, I'll download it tomorrow morning when bandwidth allows....(as you all know my internet speed, reliability and bandwidth are laughable).

A preemptive congratulations yet again.......can't wait to hear the new voices!

(Preemptive looks wrong but I checked and it's not a hyphenate but looks like it should be LOL)

Well, as always, it was an awesome episode. Grant should become a regular - when he's not drunk he does a darned good radio broadcast ;)

Rather surprised that you used pretty much ALL of my submitted PVP stuff - I waffled away in the middle, lost track of what I said, then used "in summary" as a way of trying to remember what I said!!! :)

Loved the PVP points of view - especially the thing about other player groups getting involved and, for example, banding together to "bounty hunt" a player pirate band. Basically a neat way of generating in game events without any scripting. I think that would be awesome.

When I'm not drunk??? Thanks for the vote of confidence... when I'm not drunk?? Im never bloody sober!! Thats not true... sometimes you need to sober up to open the next bottle..

I'm rather surprised that you think I did :)
The idea for submissions is that they are quick fire thoughts/views from those not able to come on the show. No more than 2 mins ( I think I suggested somewhere that people write their answers down to keep them concise)

Your point was a really good one but needed to be attacked by the editing scissors to keep it tight.

I have to say once again though thanks to those people that answered the short notice call to get their submissions in. It was a last minute brainwave that I think works well in the show format.

Next show I will post the topics nice and early, here and on facebook and twitter to get submissions.

I like the idea as well, not everyone can be available at the time of the recording (for various non-onesie reasons) so giving them time to record something is great.

Ooer, sorry then. Didn't realise. It seemed about the right length, which could mean that the "adrenaline" of recording was working to make it seem shorter. I did note that there was some editing (my "kirking" session, for example). So thanks. ;)

I learned during the Kickstarter that writing stuff means reading stuff which means SOUNDING like I'm reading stuff, so I tend to try and avoid that if possible. If I do another one, then I'll bullet point something just in case.
