My guess is that you don't have any friends added in-game, and aren't part of any in-game groups.

I have no friends too and I could create a private group.
Maybe take a good look at the menu's to figure out how..

New exe doesn´t work in open play and solo, but in private group.
Never had the spinning ship problem before.

It looks like when you replace the exe that you download with with the one that you get with the official release that it get automatically replace with the original one that was in the official 2.05 release

Interestingly, I've just got back in, appearing in space, accelerating, outside Rorschach Orbital in STKM 1-626.. which is exactly where I disconnected earlier tonight

Could those of you who are having a problem loading into game where you are getting stuck with a spinning ship change your AppConfig.xml from

upnpenabled="1"

to

upnpenabled="0"

and try again, and let me know if that works for you.

Your AppConfig.xml file can be found in the same place the Elitedangerous32.exe resides.

Online : OK, then Solo OK after i leave Online.

Thanks for this. Tried both Open and Solo but does not help (2 mins spinning on each). Made a private group also and got it working with that.

And after succes 'save and exit to main menu' and after that playing 'solo' ok.

Hmm - I think the launcher is overwriting it. I replace the file with the new one... 540xx and it goes back to 53988 (and doesn't work in the same way)

Any fix to trading? Seems like there is very little profit left in most things now, I'm guessing the NPC's are bringing the prices down?

Windows has encountered a problem with file and stopped it from working. Win 8.1 64bit.

I replaced the old exe with the one you just provided but it didn't help.

I've also tried changing the UPNP setting as well as going solo or private group, no dice.

I'll try going into windowed mode next and see if that works.

After a few failed attempts I was able to get in with the new exe, but now have crashed randomly while in-game, also while trying to dock...
