I can't believe you guys actually have desks.

I do my writing at the kitchen bench with the laptop.

Its green, stone, with wavy black lines through it. It gets hot under the summer evening sun. Weighs a tonne too.

If you watched my video of me completing the novel draft (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nD9x3879GE) you would see my writing spot in all its kitchen-ey glory.

mine is sort of a desk but i use the keyboard on my lap so it's only 'deskish' - the chair i use is also far from standard as I'm on a 2 seater sofa.
