I know this isn't really the right time or place to ask but I'm puzzled about the story line stuff.
So the Emperor is dead or something and they may be a call to arms or a war or an invasion or some such. Personally I'm only going to have a couple of hours a week to play the game while lots of others will probably be playing 25 hours plus a week, how do the story events pan out? I presume that people who aren't in game much will just miss everything? Never played an MMO before, how does it normally unfold?

Normally MMOs work two ways. You either progress through a story, this normally happens in traditional levelling games, WoW, Guild Wars etc. Or the whole universe has things affect it as it goes along. I think ED should be the latter, otherwise you will feel you are playing a different game to everyone else. WoW and the like can do it well because of the level difference, you are never in zones/areas with high level players. In ED you are though, much like EVE.

I'm certain I remember "Big Surprises" being mentioned for release...but literally, nothing content wise has changed. Am I the only one disappointed in the release change log?

Hmm although im ok and have ED installed and playing......I just checked out my account Downloadable products and my official download is still ghosted out ?
Any ideas on that one ?

You have to update your launcher app and you will then get the option to download the game.
