Not true, to fully equip a cobra costs 9mill, im still 2mill short, the viper only costs 3mill and im 500k short the viper has better shields and cobra has better hull. I have lasted longer in a dogfight with a viper than cobra against larger ships.
True cobra is a good all rounder but slightly harder to turn than the viper and is better for assassinations.

i said "cheaper to make it decent", with 500k you can bring the Cobra to decent level, but with 500k a viper is a true pain

and with maximum upgrades a Cobra will always be better because it has 11 shield cell banks, more than twice more than the viper, even worst, the Cobra hull will literaly tank when with a viper you can't take more than 1 or 2 salve of fire before thinking about the all in or flee
