No!
there are sites that rated this 90%+ and loyal fanboys rating it 10/10
so the game is clearly finished, bugfree, feature complete and 100% done and probably has TOO MUCH content according to these honest reviews. So onto waiting for Elite Dangerous 2, which sadly can´t possibly get any better than what we currently have, the perfect game.
(of course no money back guarantee, perfect games never offer refunds for flawless perfection)
So snarky baiting aside, this really baffles me. The game is getting fantastic ratings by reviewers, yes. Sure, Metcritic is seeing some 10/10s but it's also seeing 0/10s. Are you saying those 0/10s are deserved? Also, no one is saying there is too much content. The game is a perpetual WIP. The core is here and fun, so say thousands of us. Is there room for improvement? ALWAYS. But you don't buy Minecraft then demand a refund because it's "still very unfinished and frustrated and I would like my money back".
Name me a single game released in the last five years that is bugfree or has not had slightly inflated reviews *cough* every CoD game since MW *cough*. They Devs have told us time after time after time after time after time after time after time after time that the game will be developed constantly over at a minimum the next 10 years. This is David Braben's baby. He's not going to let it die without one heck of a fight.
Now name me a single game with a budget over a milion quid that gives a money back guarantee if, in your own tiny opinion, is somehow lacking. Don't worry, I'll wait. Consumer entitlement these days is getting ridiculous. When you buy something, the expectation is that you want that thing. If you aren't sure, you do research. There are dozens of Elite: Dangerous streamers, hundreds of videos, about a dozen release reviews, the subreddit, the Forums, the Facebook Community, the other player communities, etc. etc. etc.. If you failed to do your research before purchasing this product, that's on you.
Games are art. You don't buy a painting and complain about the colors. You don't watch a movie and demand a refund because you didn't like the ending, or felt it didn't have enough story, or action, or that it somehow wasn't complete because they had to cut your favorite part from the book. You bought the game. You played it. If you feel it isn't complete, come back in a few months to a few years, see if it's where you'd like to to be, see if it's a bit more "complete". I've done this with other games (Minecraft and Eve to name a few) and I have no doubt I'll do it with again. Please, take a step back and realize how you look when you take this black and white, the game is either 100% good or 100% bad stance. It has it's triumphs and yes, it has its shortcomings. But that's everything in life. The difference is rather than needing to wait for a sequel like you seen to suggest, we need only wait for a patch, or, for the larger, game-changing stuff, an expansion. I'm okay with that. If you aren't, honestly, without malice, I'd tell you that perhaps, Elite: Dangerous isn't what you are looking for. And that's okay too.
