Forum E: D members, mods and devs, I would just like to bring to your attention that there will be an ever increasing number of people frequenting these forums whom have an agenda to influence, divide and twist the development and community of this game as it unfolds. As a long term player of EvE online (like some of you here) there was a particular group that where known for this kind of thing. A group stemming from the SA (Something Awful) forums known as the ‘Goons‘.
I would say there are now a number of people (SA members) on these forums whom are pushing forward concepts and ideas to turn this game into a continuation of the community warfare allowed in other games, such as EvE, (possibly)MWO(in beta still), WoT and the likes. A point also to keep in mind (as shown in past events) if they cannot get what they want they will try to break the mechanics of the game by whatever means possible. Be that, via the forums and community, the badgering of the Devs or mods, or by the seeking of finding exploits in the game so that they can be used for their advantage (for as long as possible) over the majority of the game populous. Only to ‘hold up hands and proclaim innocence and regret’ once found to be exploiting the said game.
The unfortunate fact is, here will be no different with the attempts to covertly or overtly change this game. We know the guys at FD are striving hard to get on with the development of the game and to cover as many of these angles as possible but the fact remains, the game is growing in popularity (which is great) but there are those over at SA who have their eye on this place and are seeking to turn it into a place of their advantage and liking. The CCP over at EvE took a rather lacks stance on dealing with these characters, to the point in fact of allowing them to get away with much at the detriment of the general the gaming populous.
I say this because it is important be you general forum members, a devs or mods, not all is what it seems here when some of these postings are being done. Some are here with a specific SA agenda and are extremely versed in 'playing' forums like this to their advantage. Now I know some will say, "So what? Not my problem etc etc “ but as someone who wants this game to succeed (and I know that is the majority here) let us not let these characters get a foot in the door on destroying what can and hopefully will be, a beautiful, immersive and epic game in all fields.
