WHY? Why are you carrying "Grain"?

that is a good possibility, but if dosnt give it to me ill just take it simple as that ill have more thanenouhg time to take out his cargo hatch with my guns like i said in the first post "getting really good at that"

If he can't give it to you because its a delivery mission you will shoot him up and take it anyway.

Actually, seeing as you don't have a cargo scanner you will just shoot him up until something drops but nothing will if he is not carry anything
and you wouldn't know without a cargo scanner.. wow and you call yourself a pirate.

He's a 'Reverse Griefer'.

no such thing as a greifer - and if you think there is than stay in solo

Hold on if you had your way there wouldn't be solo. You can't have it both ways. Mind you, you don't sound much of a pirate if you don't know what's in the hold of you victim.
Still, you do sound you like to gloat on the forums.

i wouldnt pirate and asp in the first place. i only go for strictly haulers

Stupid strategy, my cobra is always hauling 300k+ worth of rare goods. It has chaff, point defense, two cannon turrets, and two gimballed beam lasers. But im sure your not scared, are you cheknov?

If it's not a trade secret would you have any tips on targeting the cargo hatch? Generally by the time I get it down to 75% the ship itself is floating around in little pieces... makes it hard to "recover the stolen cargo" from the "wanted ships" that I pursue.

OK, so ill pulled this guy over, immidiatly asked for 12 cargo and if he complied we would leave the instance safe and sound. needless to say for some reson he refused and started to run, so i start my attack trageting his cargo hatch "getting really goo at that BTW" so no need for a hatch breaker and cluttering up my cargo hold with limpets and proceed to take his cargo hatch out, stuff stats pouring out and im thinking to myself mmmmmmm theres the goodies. i take his cargo hatch down to 0% and hes in 3% hull, i stop my attack and let him leave, no need for needless killings. and he promptly SC'es away, so i check my contacts and low and behold i HUGH list of "Grain" worth about 200cr on the black market...yay i just made enough to pay off the bounty and fines i got from shooting the guy. not a very profitable venture thsi time around. and honestly if the guy would have stopped and said i have grain lol i would have laughed and offered him so of my own credits "if that was a thing i could do" just cause i felt bad he was carrieing grain lol.

Missions. Grain and Agri meds. Good rep builders.

The only reasons currently to carry grain is either to fulfil a BB mission or because the player cannot afford to purchase a higher value cargo at this time.

I personally would like to see this changed in the future so that its riskier to carry a high value/ high volume cargo.

Profit margin. All about profit margin.

Even if a cargo load that gives you a profit of 2k per ton I am sure it doesn't surpass 25% at best.

Grain can provide over 200% profit in some runs, making the low credit investment a very good starting ground for a successful trader.

ya the tip is pulse lasers in small turret slots, and only shoot when you have thier cargo hatch locked and in sight usually under thier ship, its a bit tricky but once you do it a few times it becomes pretty fun as thier doging and weaving

Can you see Blackbeard randomly attacking ships rather that targeting the those with valuable cargo?

"Wonderful, just what we need, more coconuts!"

I'm guessing it wasn't a nice big rich ship you targeted, just an unarmed hauler, maybe? Real Pirates can smell gold and ignore the little fish.
