It's not a multiplayer game, it's a singleplayer game where you can meet other people seamlessly. That is why it is the way it is.
Meh, I have a crappy keyboard and some buttons don't always work. Was it really hard to figure out that word was "apparently". Like I said, ignorance is bliss.
