Here's an idea: learn how to quote. What are you responding to in that wall of text you just quoted?
I'd rather they spend time working on the game than trying to pander to forum drama queens and trolls who have nothing better to do than moan about EVERYTHING.
(Not saying that is you btw, you just opened the way for my comment
)These types of threads and general forum whining is why Cryptic / PWE cut a lot of their forum interaction (which people also moan about, as now they cannot moan to the Devs they moan at eachother that the Devs don't turn up to be moaned at which is why they are upset and moaning (my head hurts from typing that!)). After all, why would anyone (individual or company) keep returning to a place where doing the wrong thing is wrong, but doing the right thing is also wrong....
So much for the season of good will by the way, shame the spirit of Christmas didn't make an appearance around here.
I guess you never made it past primary school reading level where they teach you how to identify a theme to a passage, eh? His entire post was talking about FD's supposed efforts to fix their busted ass game and their response to the building discontent about it. Reading comprehension, go get it.

Great so your game isn't broken so no big deal, and we should all get with the spirit of your religious holiday while we are it.

I'm 35 years old, I've not started any holidays or had any dedicated to me nor am I religious .... oh sorry, you must be one of those trolls / drama queens .... forgot where I was for a moment.
Sorry you cannot click your fingers and you get everything you want, though some how, I get the feeling you'd still be upset anyway.
Oh and when you get off unemployment and work really hard at something, I hope someone trashes you for it - you know, that whole karma thing.
You could probably fit all that "building discontent" into a phone booth. That is, if you don't count the following groups:
- Offline Mode Moaner. These guys are online more than anyone else. Their claims seem more like "I want to torrent your game and you won't let me, waaah!" than anything. I'm sure some of them are in the jungle with spotty wi-fi, but again, phone booth...
- PvP Predator. These are the creepy ones who appear to be unaware that it's possible to get into consensual combat with like-minded players, and want to force themselves on to unsuspecting players like a frat boy with a dose of rohypnol burning a hole in his pocket.
- Sandbox Tycoons. These are wannabe Gordon Gekkos. They want to buy stations/planets/systems/etc and turn our game into "Monopoly in Space", because "that's what a sandbox allows". (They must have read a different Kickstarter page than I did.)
- I suppose there is now the fourth category, the Bunny Boilers. These are the folks who, for a variety of odd reasons, expect a small company in Cambridge to have an SLA like some multinational conglomerate, and think that lack of communication is such a serious crime that they offer grave predictions of doom and the like. What's next, "you never call me anymore?" "I left 81 forum posts, why didn't you respond?" "I didn't hear from you, so I took the first step. I'm standing outside your office with a pizza cutter in my hand wearing a wedding dress!"
Or how about the 5th and 6th groups you completely ignored
-people who lost significant assets due to the database screwup
-people who are completely unable to login or play the game because of bugged saves
Oh, but I guess you didn't actually think about the fact that there are actual problems with the game because you posted and just assumed that it's a perfect game with no problems. Jog on, kid.

I didn't ignore them, I think that both those problems are temporary. The classifications of posters I made were more fundamental, more like character archetypes than a temporary group of people unrelated in any way other than a particular shared circumstance, but reading comprehension is apparently not my strong suit.
Anyway, both those groups can freely submit tickets. Tickets get read. I'm pretty sure the devs aren't going to ignore a valid ticket - they want the game to continue, so they can keep working on it. The tickets will get responses in a suitable timescale, considering the true gravity of the situation ("I lost some imaginary stuff" ranks a lot lower than "I can't play the game" to me, but that's just my POV, yours may vary).
How did you make it to 35 without having a job that held you to your responsibilities? The response to not meeting those responsibilities is far worse than being trashed its generally litigation. So yeah speaking of karma I hold my end of the deal meet my obligations and correct my failures as fast as humanly possible because It's the bare minimum, but because of karma I take it a bit further. At any rate I'm not saying anything other than the world doesn't revolve around you, and your response to that is that the world doesn't revolve around me. So much win...
Pointing out that fd is at this point just blundering along really isn't a complaint anyway, it's an observation, I frankly don't care, but it is what it is, pointing that out shouldn't upset you and if it does your 35, grow up already.
Surely a grown man has better things to do with his time than tell people with legitimate complaints and issues that instead it's a deficiency of character on their part. You proclaim to have insight into all of these peoples reasoning but it reads as a rant from somone who has never left their basement and doesn't get along with people, Just a heads up.

Blah Blah Blah I work in IT too Waffle Hot Air, I want other people's working lives to suck as much as mine, even though they're making an entertainment product and I'm dealing with life and death issues! There, does that help? No. Not really.)

I cannot believe you typed those words, you're on a message board for a *game* - throwing a fit like my 2 year old does, butting in conversations that didn't involve you and you tell others to "grow up".
Wow, just wow.
You know what a grown up does when the game they want to play doesn't work, they go play another game or find something else to do - they don't throw a tantrum telling folks they are not allowed their national holidays (international in the case of Christmas) and behaving, well, like you. Just because you didn't get an engraved apology from DB or anyone at FD didn't phone you personally to let you know the game was having problems does not give you the right to lash out at others or them - I to had to stop playing and could not trade for 2 days, so I played Star Trek Online and Dragon Age Inquisition and guess what, the problem is fixed for me.... oh look, I did the grown up thing and everything is fine - *amazing* !!!!
I feel bad for those who are still having problems, but you know what - it will get fixed, screaming and shouting wont make it happen any faster - so why do it !?!?!?
Just submit a ticket and go do something else until it is fixed for you.
