Orbis rings..

When you drop out of SC close to the wrong end of an orbis do you boost thru' the rings or take the long way round?

How do you end up on the wrong side? Do you mean when going to extraction sites? If yes, then they are marked so there is no chance of ending up somewhere else. Maybe you meant something else. :)

If you approach flying away from the planet a station is orbiting to end up at the front of the station. Either that or the hatch is easy to find. This is because the stations always orbits facing the planet. Anyway, I always do that, so I haven't had that trouble.

I fly through things every opportunity I get. It's fun, it improves my skills and generally it's pretty.

I flew all the way to Sol just so I could fly through the captial ship parked there :D

Usually always between the rings.

I love living in danger..... And think about the dozens if not hundreds of lives I put in danger by flying so close to those rings and I'm about, to crash into...

This was true in the original Elite, it is untrue in ED. The stations orientation is fixed as it orbits the planet, the same side does not always face the planet. This has been confirmed on these forums by the devs.
