Well what has he said aside from a few reasons why he personally isn't satisfied with the game and then a few assertions that he isn't a troll once a few people have jumped down his throat? What's wrong with that? What's silly about it?

Caveat Emptor blah blah FDF relax. The man will accept all things as you did once. He spoke the truth as he knows it. Don't all file in to smack em at once. Go play the game, his post won't make the difference in membership - but the FDF attitude might.

I think the problem is the complaints are pretty minimal issues and the tone he set. I do want to see more content soon in game myself, but I'm not going to list launching as my first complaint. The general thread on this isn't "I'm not having fun with the game as is, and these are things I don't like" but a hostile, self entitled list of complaints.
I'm personally having a very good time in elite, there are things which are annoying to me (200 cr bounty I'm looking at you) but I'm not going to have a fit about it either.
Ya sorry I dont post more I was too busy playing the game a bunch, trying to do all it had to offer, before coming here and sharing my opinion. My bad. Ill try to forum post more and play less to add to my e-credibility. You guys don't think people can tell what's waiting for them on these forums if they have any sort of negative opninion? You don't think your attitude is apparent to anyone with half a brain who browses while supercruising? Token fanboys shouting down anyone who doens't agree with them, being tone police. You're not new, you're not original, you exist in every game.

look, yes OP you have the point - Elite 1.0 lacks several social and gameplay parts that most of the players wants - this will be improved sooner or later.
I hate to tell this but we just need to be patience. ED have superb base to build on here. and it's not dead - the development will happen. Its the bumpy start - thing will (hopefully) get better very soon.

So minimal that a lot of the people I convinced to buy the game have stopped playing already. But you know everythihng. The way you enjoy the game is the only way. Everyone else can go suck it right. Get over yourself. I tell people not to buy this game now because I don't want to see anymore friends waste 60 dollars which is incredibly expensive for a game these days.
I did too. Then you hit the 15-20 mil wall and everyone gets bored and quits. Then I started telling people not to. Easy stuff right.
Well, didn't you know what the game 'was'? I mean, I came in blind after seeing videos of it demo'd on the DK2. Did some research, found out what it was, and bought from there. I didn't expect tons of MP, a bunch of fighting, people everywhere and the best ship given to me ... because I found out what the game was and not what some people want it to be. It's mainly a simulator, a spreadsheet trading space game where you explore procedural generated content with some interaction with other players every now and then. Pretty open ended with no real 'direction'.
I hope it becomes more, but an hour of looking around told me what it was.
Kind of a bad move telling all your friends to blow $60 on a game you didn't even fully research.

So do the people who come in all guns blazing without thinking about how mature they come across (sometimes with their very first post..), listing why you hate the game and how you will encourage everyone you can not to buy it is not going to make you many new friends.
Seeing as you are an expert on the types of people found on forums I would've thought you might understand that.
If you want to engage in mature discussion then there is a easier way of going about it than joining the forum and ranting at everyone. ..
No one is saying that there are no issues with the game - but the list you came up with is really just petty for the most part and boils down to personal preferences.
Admittedly the economical route being default is a bit annoying but it's hardly game breaking.
And multi player features are coming so a bit of patience wouldn't go amiss...

to be fair you could have been a little more diplomatic in your post title, the first thought i had when i read it was 'will he be carrying a placard or just stopping random people in the street?'
can the game be improved? yes, will it be improved? yes, will every little detail be to your liking? probably not, you can't please everyone.
what the game does have is a solid foundation to build on that content can be added too for years to come.
Alpha backer rolling in for more derailment. What you're doing isnt mature. Just keep piling on as i repsond to the last person. Make sure this chain never ends. YOu have nothing better to do . keep it up.
Of course it's a good move, you know these people, I don't. If they don't enjoy this game (and you obviously don't either for the long run) then why would you recommend it anyway? I have plenty of friends, some are gamers, I wouldn't tell them to purchase this because it's not for them, just as much as I wouldn't tell a vegetarian friend to buy a hamburger.
I'm still having fun and I haven't realized there's "nothing to do". It just sounds like you didn't do any research or even ask in the forums about the longevity of the game and then told all your friends to rush out and buy it. Seems off. I wouldn't tell somebody to buy something I wasn't sure of unless they had a gauged interest in it.
