I've read this whole thread, and the biggest thing I've got from it is the broken MP sadly. We shouldn't have to mess with our routers just to have the chance to find and interact with other players, and the messing around Kyle and Boise had to put up with just to meet up is laughable.
i've been playing A LOT since before Christmas and have seen maybe half a dozen hollow blips on my radar in that whole time. I live in Australia so I was blaming the lack of players on my time zone, but this is plain upsetting, to be honest. I may as well play in solo mode, it seems.
Oh, and kudos to Kyle for stirring up a bit of fun in the game and in the forums. Rep to you.

You guys are right. It's crazy if playing in Open Play if you cannot meet up. Yes it's down to the decision to create multiple instances, but there has got to be a better way by FD of ensuring players can work together or fight each other in Open Play.
I think at one point tonight there were 6 players all at the same nav point and all 6 were alone!
I've not seen any threads that cover the load-balancing aspect of the servers. Are we just put on the nearest server?
If the devs want to allow people to pick servers, then indeed it should be made easier. Simply having a list of instances would be fine.
