No doubt. But I for one, do appreciate everything FD is doing to improve the game. For me it's very stable and playable and I have the patience to wait for more fixes.
As far as I'm concerned, Once again, I'm a "Happy Boy!":D

Thanks for broadening my musical horizon - I think ;)
1.05 patched, time to play!

First just want to say I appreciate all the hard work you all are putting in and am enjoying the game...
However, as an avid explorer there are a couple issues that I hope you address in a future patch.

1. The "glitch" where often a detailed scan completes but doesn't update the data (even though the text says "scan complete data available") requiring a second scan.

2. The AWFUL lag time when trying to sell stellar cartography data when you have a lot of data to sell. (perhaps even a "sell all" option). I have spent over an hour just trying to sell my data after a long trip.

Added ship discount to Founders World? What does this mean please?

Founders world, if and when you have access to it via permit, allows players to get a 10% discount on ship and ship fixings, but the ship side of things has not been working so now it should be.

Why? The customer has been told everything they need to know. Updating 1000 identical tickets each time there is an update to a known bug is a lot of admin time that could be spent dealing with 1000 other tickets. For efficiency's sake multiple identical tickets need to be closed. That's the best use of FD's time and therefore best service to us.

No they havent. A ticket is filed to drive and track resolution, not as a "thank you for telling us" system. How is the customer to follow-up and provide additional data if required, or know when the fix is rolled out? Not everyone uses the forums. Resolving a ticket in favour of another ticket, or a jira (for example) is OK. Resolving a ticket with "we're aware of the problem" is fobbing the customer off. Again, putting the customer before the convenience of your Support staff is how you gain the trust of your customers.

This for me should be a priority... Currently nearly impossible to communicate with friends.

whilst it is not the ideal long term solution, whilst a fix is being sorted can you not use steamchat?

it is what i generally do when gaming. (not just in elite either)

Not saying it should not be fixed, just trying to offer temp bandaid fixes

Be that as it may, I'd rather wait for 6 weeks to get some real issues fixed than to go offline every couple of 5 days, just to see some bugs have been fixed. Comeon, other developers don't do this they:

A: Release a stable game, and not an unstable one, just to rake in more cash (no pun intended)
B: If they release an unstable game, of which they've been made aware by the community, they will do their utmost to fix the indicated issues first, along with some other minor fixes, maybe
C: They certainly do not react with 'we make the game, and you just have to live with that' comments style, as we, the backers, paid for the development, no backers = no game, so, I expect the developers listen to the backers instead of the opposite
D: Brings me to the last point, why can't they be to do something about bugs which have been persistent since beta 1/2, or maybe even earlier. A lot of you people claim that this game is finished, nice, cool and all, but it is far from it. So far it is unfinished, slightly cool, and a very tedious game to play (don't say.... don't play it if you don't like it, it's too easy)

Issues raised by the community should be addressed with priority, not waived!

A: The game was released in a stable state. I assume that 99% of all customers didn't crash to desktop, didn't get a BSOD and where able to play the game. There weren't any big issues with server availbility. If you take a look at other major AAA download releases you will find out that there are many games were most people couldn't even download the game.
B: see above.
C: I have not seen any other game with so much dev involvement in the forums.
D: No one claims that the game is finished, in fact most people state that the game will be in development for the next 3 years.

Issues raised by the community ARE addressed with priority. For example there were hundreds of threads about missions not working properly and it seems like they are trying to fix it.

Would like my founders world permit so I can buy these cheaper ships (ticketed 16th dec 2013) still no update on it.

every big softare company does not only have a releasenote/fixed section but also a !!!KNOWN ISSUES!!! section in every release/Patch/fix

would be great to see something like this, so we would see on what they are working further and for what we still have to open tickets

Oh well such is life in the gaming world. FD obviously has issues they deem important to resolve even though many of us don't have a clue what they are talking about. Thus when issues like fixing the landing pad lights/numbers blinking out which we as players do understand are not resolved then there are concerns. Here's a FD pick the right answer list:

1. We are aware of the landing pad issue.
2. We are aware of the landing pad issue but other issues are more important.
3. We are aware of the landing pad issue but don't know how to fix it yet.
4. We are aware of the landing pad issue and know how to fix it but other updates may break it again.
5. The landing pad issue is not a bug, but a feature!

Best to All

Just now, just for you, one time solution: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=98240

They will fix the bug when they have time, im sure there are more important issues for them to work on.

Oh that would be one hell of long list...

And does that include refunding those of us the discount, who ended up paying full price instead of the discounted price M.B., or do we just have to lump it.

Having downloaded the 1.05 patch I see the founders world discount has not been refunded on the python I purchased Michael so can you advise if and when please? Then I can close the open ticket at my end.

That's interesting, I thought it was already working. I went there the other day to see what price they were charging for a Python, and their price was around 51M - about 10% less than the wiki average price of 56M. If the discount was broken then, I wonder if that would make their Python 46M (10% off the 51M they had earlier). Maybe the wrong discount was only on some of the ships. Will be keen to find out.

Could you give some clarification, Michael? Thanks.
