I still see a lot of people whining on these forums about "this is broke" or "that don't work" and I wonder if they ever bother to file a bug report or just like sounding off on here, just to see whether anyone else validates their point of view.
There is a ticketing system. If it's a real bug then go here https://support.elitedangerous.com/, log your "issue" and then, when you complain on the forum, at least you can quote a ticket number and show the rest of us that you are actually contributing something back to the community.
Let's all work together to ensure the game is as good as it can possibly be, huh?

Perfectly put. As I said previously this game's development shows all the signs that it is being handled by people who actually care. Lets not seek to discourage but rather to inspire them further.

Thank you for continuing with the updates (code and news)! Can we please get information on patch sizes for those of us with limited bandwidth? And easy (supposedly) fix for you would be to have the launcher inform us of the size of the download before we download it, that way you don't have to remember to look it up and put it in the patch notes every time.

+1

Asked this after the last patch, looks like it was'nt deemed important enough, even though it would be a single line of txt in the patch update details:(.

Once again customers who are on a limited bandwidth/download seem to be ignored! poor Show FD

Sorry didn't see previous post! +2 for this, making life difficult for some of my mates.

Since Patch 1.05 Elite Dangerous, the offline training missions and Multiplayer game loses focus each 5 seconds to the E:D launcher, specifically when using the mouse. Have to alt tab back into E:D to work. Mouse isn't registered in game and the mouse is focused to the launcher. For example I can launch the new ship decals or the Elite competition from within the regular game.
Using windowed mode works, but I do see it activating and deactivating (turning 'activated' and back).

Windows 8.1 Pro
Nvidia Geforce GTX970
Saitek X52 Pro

Mine does this too, but also did it in 1.04, as well as other full-screen games. Two different video cards too (upgraded from a Radeon 5750 to a Radeon R9 270) end with the same result. For my issue, I'm thinking it's something with Windows 7. The graphic properties just doesn't like sitting in that full-screen instance too long, and pops back to the desktop. I can click on the toolbar and reestablish the full-screen mode (although the pop-to-desktop usually seems to happen when I'm engaged in some kind of conflict :) )

If anyone has a Windows config fix, that'd be great. I found some guidance on Microsoft's site, but it didn't help.

It would be nice to know if we can get more detailed info on the differences on shields, and thrusters and power distributors..other than A4 beats A3 when B5 could be better were applicable?

Killing Creative Cloud fixed it for me. That process kept having issues with some games.

For me, this happens since first release and it's caused by other running apps that launch notifications taking window focus, which causes ED client to be minimised. I am assuming that this is ED client issue not locking the window focus like any other game.

Of cause I made a ticket for this

I have major DECREASE of FPS when a CHAFF is launched AND VISIBLE!
I use a high end GAME LAPTOP CLEVO P150EM with an i7-3840M & an AMD HD7970M 2GB DDR5 and paying with FHD and ULTRA SETTINGS, my general FPS is 40-50 fps in stations and 70-110 fps in space.
I found out that the CHAFF effect is decreasing my FPS by 75% (from 100fps to 25pfs), this is also happening with chaff from NPC-ships as long as they are visible in my POV!
I did try also the LOW GFX setting, of cause getting higher FPS but the decrease stays up to 75% regardless the GFX settings. Parallel I do monitor the USAGE of my HD7970M (with MSI AFTERBURNER) normally its between 90-100%, but the moment I fire a CHAFF (flying backwards to see the chaff in my POV) the USAGE also is GOING DOWN to 25%-30%!!
So for some reason my CHAFF GFX effects are causing my HD7970M to THROTTLE DOWN causing MAJOR FPS REDUCTION of 75%!

So after a view more test it seems that other effects have the same impact in fps and GPU usage. Did some bounty hunting in an extraction sight and have many FPS and GPU-usage slowdowns. Normally the GPU usage is always 95-100% but now the numbers are playing in a very much. I dont know it this is something ED 1.05 did bring or if this has something to do with introduction of the AMD OMEGA DRIVER V14.12 for my HD7970M.

I did compare the CHAFF test with a NVIDIA QUADRO 1000M, and the FPS (off cause much lower then my HD7970M) did NOT CHANGE AT ALL, so for me this is not a general ED problem but related to my AMD HD7970M & DRIVER 14.12!

Would be nice if others with AMD GPU would check this on their systems!
