Hello Michael

I take it you have a bit of pull in this game. I have played on and off for a couple of weeks and my game crashes and makes me task manager whenever i go into a starport or station and look at the commodities board etc and i have to re start the game. I have a good rig i7 quad core 3.4 HZ 16 mGB ram and Nvidea 1Gb ddr11 650 gti card.
It is starting to spoil my enjoyment of the game. I do not want to send a ticket to admin as they ask for stuff i do not understand i am 55 years old and not good at technical stuff on computers. Please help me to sort this problem .

Client Changes:

- Crash fix for low end onboard graphics chipsets
- Block method for duplicating cargo
- Further death related telemetry
- Additional file telemetry for resource loading failure

Server Changes:

- the daily maintenance period is now weekly, the galaxy servers will be unavailable at 0700 UTC on Thursday mornings
- improve private groups and matchmaking at busier playing times
- fixed a rare cause of Commanders being unable to load into the game

Geordie Phil - go on, take the leap and submit a ticket. That technical stuff is all auto generated from memory. Despite all the moaning on here on how slow FD are on getting on to these things I think you'll find it a positive experience if you take the plunge with a serious issue as you describe.

Chuffed about the move to weekly server updates - the daily option kept smacking me in the face as I sat down for an evenings entertainment. I wonder how many others there are in NZ who had the same issue...

After I went thru and updated, I run the game, and it's running in the background, but keeps kicking me to windows desktop.....

I chose the window to get focus on the game, I see a brief flicker of the ED screen in the background, but it summarily kicks me back out to the desktop. (Music also playing in the background).

Game is running, but I can't get into the window what's running the game.

I havent tested this fully but it seems if i have TEAMSPEAK running i get some strange occurances similar to what you are describing.....i can how ever simply click on the icon in my windows task bar down the bottom and get straight into the game....If your using TEAMSPEAK try turning it off and see what happens

I have a similar issue (which I've ticketed) - I don't get fully kicked out to desktop, I get a flicker to desktop, then back to the game. I'm still in control with my XBox controller but I lose the 'game' mouse pointer and get the standard Windows one. Input focus is not on the game any more so none of the keyboard commands work. I can only get back by clicking the mouse - which DOES drop me to the desktop - then clicking the game icon in the task bar.

@Simon Briscoe - others in NZ? Yes!

On the SC to the next available outpost I was interdicted. I died just seconds from docking at the second outpost.

Surely every facility should have some emergency life-support fix, even if it isn't a full repair?

It was exciting for sure, but I think maybe this could be revisited?

I had a similar issue, though I managed to survive by the skin of my teeth (less than 30s worth of air remaining when I went into the outpost). Personally, I think it's fine just as is :).

Thank you Michael and all the devs. The game is running very smoothly. Only on occasion do I get a bumpy ride. I know you guys are doing a superb job at ironing out the rough spots. Cheers!!!

My timing sucks

Only been playing for less than a week, got my new Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS system delivered today, so left work early to get it configured and do some serious game time. Nope got to do an update (and my net speed SUCKS lol), all ready to go and nothing to do lol

Great work on the updates, it works out at 6pm Sydney Aust time here, just after I normally get home from work, keep up the great work.

Yep, I've been getting this for quite some time. I did ticket it but was told that it hadn't been reported by any other user and that it could just be some other application taking focus. Still happens if no other applications are running.
