You do have a point Enty and it really is a shame that cowardly players can drop into solo mode and make just the same amount of money. I would have thought that the devs would have given a greater incentive to players living dangerously and trading in open rather than solo.
Perhaps they should have made larger profit margins in open play and removed rares and seeking luxuries from Solo.
As for being too lazy to travel 140 lys to make money on rares, we would prefer to have the excitement of taking what isn't ours from others.
We also have an alliance with the Vanguard Protocol who's ships we protect for monetary favours.
If anyone would like long term protection and dosen't want to join THE CODE, get in touch, we are always open to negotiations regarding guaranteed safe passage.

Was it not for the pircetag, I'd be sporting French and/or Canadian flags on all my ships. But mostly Canadian because of the Leaf. Our lovely French Flag is a bit dull compared to the deliciousness that is Maple Syrup.

This is where I have to admit I'm not actually Canadian, I've just spent quite a bit of time in Canada and really like it there.
Besides, the Australian flag paint job is just downright ugly.

Looks to me like Anopheles and "The Code" are creating content for people to join in with or simply to ignore (if they don't want the risk/interaction), this is much more than say (guessing here) 99% of the player base are doing. Why people see this as negative/griefing i can not tell as they have been told where this is happening and so can bypass it easily. This group are Roleplayers, playing proper pirates with ethics'ish and running with a set of rules, there not crazed killers, they do scan for cargo, they will ask to drop some and they will not fire on you if you comply. Ive had great fun interacting with these and have chatted through coms with them and they are doing this purely from a roleplay point of veiw which i think is great.
Get a group together and see if you can escort a ship through them, maybe try your hand at stealthing in, its a new tool to play with so have fun with it peeps its whats its there for
