Beta 1.1 comments for non beta players

Good. Exploring the Galaxy, running into hostile aliens, and the like should be "dangerous". Being interdicted by people just wanting to be jerks for no reason shouldn't be.

Glad it's a crime now.

Is it a seperate save? And if it is will it be persistant at least on the beta branch. Granted along the way there will likely be wipes but is it basically like the original beta where they try not to.

Also I can't see where the beta forums are am I missing something? I'm on my phone so that could be why.

You can thank me for this. ;)

Thank you!

Only time I've been killed so far was while fighting a pirate and a cop swooped up out of nowhere into my line of fire and was only slightly dinged on the very edge of his shield by a laser. Next thing I knew I had 5 cops and the pirate all shooting me!!!

This sounds much more reasonable during a combat situation. The occasional friendly fire can happen and will in tight quarters fighting (like asteroid field) with numerous NPCs flying in front of your guns out of nowhere.

Ok, heres a scenario. Clean player, perhaps a bounty hunter or other trying to be a do gooder interdicts a ship to perform a cargo scan for illegal goods or smuggled items? I have interdicted traders leaving anarchy systems, followed them into federal/alliance systems and interdicted and scanned them there as they may be carrying slaves. And that's a going to be a crime?

Oh thank the stars they are going to extend route planning to 1000 LY this will make my trade runs much easier to route out, but I wonder if it will still take a few for the galaxy map to figure it out.

Sounds like a lot of very good changes. Kudos to the Devs. :)

Can't wait to hear/see see something about the new ships.

If interdicting clean players is a crime, does that mean that if I'm clean and get interdicted by an NPC they'll have a bounty? Wonder if that applies to system security vessels too?

For players interdicting to grief their victim, this change won't have much effect since they are planning to murder them anyway.

For pirates interdicting, this will add further incentive to get something out of the victim, since the act of interdiction will give them a wanted status.

Tell me how this is going to actually fix anything.

This will make a lot of people happy:

- When the player accidentally hits an AI ship damage is accumulated. If a threshold is exceeded (by multiple hits or a powerful weapon like a rail-run), the ship turns hostile. The AI ship will "forget" the damage before it turns hostile:
1) if the AI ship recharges its shield to 100%.
2) if a (currently 30 sec) timer runs out.
- Make the system apply to stations as well.

Wow. I don't think I've been this hyped since the Beta 2 release or something like that. This is actually looking really good.

Excellent! When I asked for accidental hits not to be taken as hostile I got flamed for it, I'm glad common sense won the day!
