My Anaconda blew up inside the station for no apparent reason - video inside

Definately some badluck there but hey just be happy and grateful you were able to even get an anaconda. Its only 5.5m rebuy you will be ok. when will people ever understand what the definition of dangerous is??? We have a bermuda here god knows what they have in space but you sure did hit one.

I'm just guessing here, but from what I can gather it happens the very same moment your landing gear is deployed.

Given that some people have said that landing gear has 0 hull, anything hitting them or getting stuck and such will cause destruction of ship?

Could that be it?

That's the weirdest statement I've ever seen, why did you believe that? If that were the case, every time you landed too roughly on the pad, your ship would blow up, since the gear touches down first

It looks like 2 missile trails running perpendicular to the wreck

That's explosion debris that I can see on my recorded anaconda kills flying off just the same

And if he for some reason had really been dstroyed by missile spam, the final notice would have said which CMDR did it

It looks like that bug with the landing gear to me.

As soon as you hear the gear going down, ship explodes.

They should give you a ship or credits back for it. I cant see how this is not a bug.

Really bad bug, hope it gets fixed soon.

I know there is no way to be certain for us, but I somehow doubt it's related to the landing gear. I see other threads of this happening outside the station, like 10km out, and elsewhere. Either way, it's all speculation, only Frontier might have some real leads here. Maybe the video can help and maybe they will refund me the lost cargo and insurance, but I don't get my hopes up with their current response times in "support".

I think there's a difference between landing gear when 'landing' as in the guide is working, and not so, there are a few videos out there that show ships barely touching the landing gear to slot and boom.

Why I would believe it? because people have shown videos on forum and other places a bit back of it happening? as I stated I am, guessing and I'm guessing because the landing gear game down and then he blew up? so I do not see what is weird about that? you can hear the audio feedback for landing gear just before he blows up.

The exact same thing happened to me and my Anaconda.
I had docking permission and was playing in solo mode.
But unlike him i was running a high end Anaconda with a7 shields (3pips into it at the time i blew up) and military armor.
I cant think about anything being able to blow up my Anaconda like this oneshot. In fact there was no one else around because i always check radar for traffic. landing gear was at deploying progress and the joystick felt a bit fuzzy at the time it happened.
Happened a week ago, ticketed 5mins after -> No response yet.

Kornelius Briedis posted a couple of videos about the same problem three weeks ago. I thought they had fixed this...

In both those cases, he hit the entrance sides at high speed. At least in the 2nd video, he gets a "shield offline" message before he explodes so it could be from he impact.

Now that you've ticketed it with dxdiag.txt and Net.log, you can forget all about it cos you won't get a reply to your ticket.
I have tickets going back 5 weeks, including one such insta-kill in station . No Reply nor recompense in Cr.

Annoying little colonials may tell you to "suck it up", don't you just hate it when they say that?

Unfortunately "sucking it up " is just about all you can do cos the Support hamsters are thoroughly overloaded and ineffectual.

Has anyone had it happen to them in a ship that is not an Anaconda?

yeah me, once a T7, once a T9.

NOTHING to do with any game kill mechanic, neither landing gear... I just GUESS it's an NPC spawn on YOUR position or what ever... and boom. You can't avoid it, you can only pay assurance against. VERY BAD BUG!!!

Old bug going back all the way to beta (2 at least, maybe even older). Ship explodes when deploying landing gear, no outside interference of any kind. Happens to all kinds of ships.

I had a ticket on this in beta and have a ticket on this in Live, no response on either. Don't expect any compensation but do ticket it anyway so hopefully it can one day be fixed for good. Last time it happened to me was also in an Anaconda inside a station, but I've seen videos of it happening in open space nowhere near the station or other objects.

Yep. I firmly believe it has to do with the landing gear; in most videos I've seen of this phenomenon (including mine, below) the destruction occurs right around the time the gear is dropped.

I agree with earlier poster if anything looked like about when the landing gear comes out to me but fairly certain it isn't any external source.
