Welcome to the forums!

I did something similar too, I think maybe two other incremental steps.

Let's see...

I started of with £50, then went up to £100, and come next week I'll go further up to £200.

I had quite a few steps. Started in the very early days of the KS (think it was day 2 once I'd calmed down after the BBC video). I went:

£20 - copy of game
£40 - Name an NPC
£90 - Premium boxed set
£100 - First round Beta
£150 - Founder

I stayed at Founder level until the end of the KS and last weekend finally caved in and went up to Alpha level. Couldn't miss out on the Alpha combat testing.

£30 - Digital Copy
£100 - First round private Beta
£150 - Elite founder
£200 - Alpha

It's addictive but I've finished now...

It is very difficult to stop especially during the heat of a kickstarter. I was quite happy at Founder level until David Braben started talking about Alpha. Honestly his enthusiasm for the game is one of the greatest selling points out there!

£20 - Digital Copy
£90 - Collector's Ed.
£300 - DDF (post Kickstarter)

In between £20 and £90 I pledged for John Harper's book at a level that included 2nd round beta access. When I went up to £90 I gave it back, obviously. :p

I was originally planning on the Premium boxed set for £90 in the later stages of Kick-starter campaign until my wife persuaded me to up it to Founder Level (£150). Now at Alpha level thanks to the excellent work seen on the game in the Newsletters, Dev Dairies etc. and having seen the enthusiasm that everyone has for the game.

Just need to source a good flight stick and will be good to go.

Got the £40 pledge as a present last Christmas and just upgraded it to the £100 first round beta access this week.

went in at 5k, jonty'd to 3 x 5k accounts and ended up at 3 accounts (25,25 and 500 - silly me lost the party slot  ) plus some assorted gooddies

a bit mad really, but once the ipo arose on the horizon i decided to rather send money there ;)

also backed most ED books/projects to various degrees, roughly 600 all told

I went in at £300 from the start, as I really wanted DDF access, and I fortuitously happened to have the cash available at the time. Since then I got a second basic account, which I'll install on a second PC primarily for my niece to wreck.

£1 initially, but bare in mind that I just rolled out of bed, read the tweet and ran to the PC to check KickStarter. After I read all the rewards, I jumped straight to £300 for the DDF chance :D
