Official declaration of player bounty.

No bingo here.

You had an issue with his name, whichever way you dressed it up, read what you said.
You go around calling yourself "The OnePercent" flying around in your 20mil insurance Anaconda... so clearly trading is all you know... took your big fancy ship into a combat zone and got schooled by someone that knows how to fly.
Now you're offering money for someone else to take revenge.
You sound like a pathetic trust fund kid.”

I don’t care what FD says, I said it looks like griefing to me. Also, why just destroy the engines, the AI does not do that. And if you make a website for all your lore, it’s still griefing to me.
Association fallacy? You’re part of the group, and you defended the actions. So if you affiliate with him and condone what he did, yeah I’m gonna group you with him.
A group of a group is still a group. If you don’t agree with the actions taken again you shouldn’t have defended them, otherwise I’ll assume you condone it.
Also what about the comm’s at the end? It looks clear to me it had nothing to do with a conflict zone fight at all, and it was because he didn’t answer the Empire/Fed question with enough respect to you “Empires Grace” club.

Ugh. Heck I dont even like EGs much, but jeez. Anything else you want to shout about on your soapbox? Care to tell me how to play too?

I did mock him using his name, that much is true. Can't deny that.

The AI does subsystem targetting... they tend to target powerplants though, seemingly.

I'm not sure about your website comment... Emperor's Grace have a lore subforum but only the RP guys use it really... and only a couple of guys in the whole of EITC (which is quite large) actually RP.

I do condone the killing of non-Imperial players when it suits our purposes... i.e. suppressing a Federation faction, system, station, traderoute or defending an Imperial one...

We are not "Empires Grace" nor are we "Emperors Grace".

We're the East India Trading Company. Emperor's Grace is where our forums are hosted.

I can assure you I did not get schooled, I got taken advantage of whilst engaging a NPC python (the flying bunker when it comes to subsystem damage) having done around 3000 kills like I mentioned before target fixation and autopilot got the better of my frontal cognitive cortex. I am offering a bounty for other players because I am in the race to elite. I cannot waste time on you guys.

what happened next? The CMDR in question came back for supposed round two and I schooled him, He survived because his python was faster.

Just picking up all that Palladium sounds like a lot of work. That aside, what we could need is a player created Bounties function in-game.

How I'd envisage such a thing to work, is:

- Sorted under Contacts in the Starport menu.
- Any player may issue a Bounty on anyones head. Bounty size only limited by the players available funds. When issuing a Bounty, the amount issued goes into escrow. The bounty must be collected within one week. If no-one kills the target within a week, 90% of the amount put in escrow are returned to the player who issued the bounty.
- Several players may put a bounty on the same target. Current bounty is the total issued by all players who have issued a bounty on a given target. As a bounty expires by one player, that players part of the total bounty is deducted.
- If issuing additional bounty on a target already wanted by another player, additional bounties must be placed in the station or outpost of where the original bounty was issued.
- A player bounty will not affect the targets wanted status by any faction.
- A target keeps the player issued price on his head until the bounty is claimed.
- If the target respawns and is killed again, the first to claim the bounty is the one awarded the bounty.
- The bounty must be claimed where it was issued.
- Upon collecting a bounty, a player may decide to share it with select people on his/hers contact list.

I think such a feature would add quite a bit to player interactivity :)

+1.
All of this definitely

The same Ecco in this clip at 4m20s? Good luck getting the kill....

AHAHAH ! Nice !
To Ecco and your group, I'll say this:
I don't mind a little RP-ing associated with piracy, except when it is an excuse for griefing.
When you're playing RP and do stuff like that to other players, you have to be, in return, honest in the way you play. Logging off to avoid being killed is not honest. It just proves that you guys stays RP when it suits you and your needs.

Having any kinda of trade system to trade credits will leave this game open to "gold selling" sites and their bots. We will see systems discovered by reqwsdfk as they find far off systems to farm in.

Sandro the technical design programmer from FDEV stated that you should be able to repair anything from 0% except your power plant, Or he implied that. The fact that you can't repair the thrusters from zero percent actually is a bug. It has been ticketed already multiple times.

They are also implying they are looking into a new module or system that allows to repair things whilst reducing the health of others.

can't wiat for the repair module to be used for thrustur and hull (especially canopy), because at the moment, the modules is just useless

I hope FD realize the gargantuan amount of emergent gameplay which can come from implementing credit transfers between players and decide to do it.

For the record, I'm not picking any sides here. I didn't even read the thread. I just want to grab popcorn and see this kind of stuff on YouTube. Stories from E : D.

was already brought up several time, between merc contracts, escorting services, assasination.....and all the use i fail to see....

I don’t care how you play. But it looks like you want to tell me how to post.

Far be it from me to tell you how to post.. I just kinda saw my brain as I was rolling my eyes so hard at yet again another "OMG Griefing" thing.. (i was being petulant. Sorry)

Hell I would have shot out his sensors if he was opposing in a combat zone without even a hi.

Lets try again, Hi!

How are you?

you obviously do because otherwise you wouldn't go around crying "blablblabla is griefing to me!" even though it doesn't fall under any reasonable definition of griefing. killing thrusters or hull in a conflict zone is essentially the same thing for the player on the receiving end: he will have his ship destroyed and will have to pay insurance. the only difference is that (other than being much faster to do because FDev have no idea how to balance their game) by killing thrusters you have time to send a message to the other player before he self destructs, and i guess it could be construed as a slight insult vs the other player depending on context. but in no way can this be called "griefing" unless you want to change the meaning of the word to suit your illogical arguments

and need i call you on your hypocrisy? first you call out Catnip for "why do you assume XY" and then a few posts down the line you go all "if you do this and that i'm going to assume YZ"

Take a look:

"Someone" registered on our site and started shouting in our shoutbox:

Butthurt.jpg

Its one thing to go cry in the forums, placing a bounty on other players head, even lying to appear as innocent victim. I can understand that. But coming to the guys group and disrespecting everyone there? Its just shameful. Its US time, so it was exactly 15 mins ago... 15 hours of pure butthurt...

Here, have a present:
