In FE2 those lifeforms had all disappeared entirely without any explanation. In FFE the Thargoids returned as an Ammonia based life-form. Neither FE2 or FFE featured galactic hyperspace.
I never played and got into
Frontier - Elite - Two and
Frontier Encounters - Elite -Three and don't know much about what everyone here is saying about what happened to all the Sentient Non - Humans. Humans being exactly like we are.
What are Ammonia-Based life-forms exactly?
I'm not really a science person.

Having worked with Frontier on the Thargoid Guidebook for the writers, I can confirm that, at this stage, the only space-faring races are the Thargoids and humans.
I don't believe Frontier are planning to introduce any more races with what we would recognise as a culture, but they may change their minds at a later date - only they know the future of the Eliteverse.
Well this is indeed a disappointment.
The universe in the original Elite had a multitude of aliens and now we have just 2 races in the new BIGGER (much much much BIGGER) Elite???
Just 2 races in the universe?
I'm disappointed as well. I was sort of looking forward to the prospect of meeting other non-human alien life-forms in the capacity of being intelligent in their own right within the
Elite - Dangerous galaxy.
Other than that I am looking forward to seeing Thargoids in this game. Wether they are some sort of evolved Arachnoid or Insectoid.
Then again may be not such good idea.....
In this new game.....within the new
Elite - Dangerous galaxy.
What I would also like to know is if human like us.......are they all a result of Humanities expansion from earth towards the other star systems?
Of course, your some sort of alien too if your a human that is planet other than earth after that expansion.
Are humans like us.....have they originated from planets and star-systems other than our own before any expansion from earth?
Have humans actually originated from a Star-System other than the Solar-System?
