Chaos in Lave?!

Says who? I'm sorry, is there an Elite: Dangerous rulebook somewhere which says "You must always engage other players on equal terms." ? I must have missed it.

4 Clippers isn't cowardly. It's dominant.

If you can't handle it, then move on, or at least make some form of arrangement with those who are playing the dominant role in whatever system you decided to be a lone wolf in.

there is no arrangement to be made.....these suckers just kill.....or at least try to kill

Oh yeah, so cowardish. So afraid of loosing virtual assets. I'm still thinking minimizing your risks is a smart move. It may not be honorable but really, who cares. If you want to fight 1v1 duels I may suggest either organizing fair fights with determined rules or going to a competitive arena fighter. I just don't see the point in smacktalking pirates that are just doing what they are supposed to do. Take a note I've never pirated myself, 99% NPC bounty hunting and conflict zones here.

Im not crying at all just stating it as i see it. I spent hours several evenings trying to get them to try it on me yet they didnt. They only did it to defenseless weak ships.

...

I never said i didnt have friends to fly with did I? All i did was call gankers who pick on lone wolfs cowards which they are.

And what are you doing about it other than judgmentally whining? Are you helping the defenseless? Or rallying to those who are uplifting a banner of justice to fight the scum who are preying on the weak?

No. You are just messing about it on a forum, from safety.

These people are not engaged in duels. Their work is not one of honour or fairness. They are engaged in a business where the strong take from the weak. Drifting by with your nose up in the air watching such actions, presuming to comment on it from a safe distance like some form of fallacious universal arbiter while actually doing nothing, in reality, makes you the coward, sir.

I have been hunted around lave by a CODE clipper some days ago and I won't stop trading rares in open because of it.
In fact i'm looking forward to my next stop in lave. Most exciting moments in weeks.

IMHO is the CODE an enrichment to the universe. There will probably be nice player created content coming from groupslike this.

We need more conflicts in the void and less uneventful spacehauling!

For all the complainers:

1. Lave is just one system. There are thousands of other populated systems and many with rare goods.

2. Lave isn't even any good for rares - it's not often you see more than 2t Lavian Brandy available.

3. CODE et al. are making trading a more gripping, scary experience, not just a waltz in the park. They put the "Dangerous" into Elite Dangerous. Experiencing this "dangerous" is entirely at a commander's choice due to (1) and (2). A commander can avoid this without even scuttling off to solo play merely by being somewhere else.

I was floating around Lave the other day to see what the fuss was about. In my Cobra, even had a few tonnes of rares on board, and was flying after a skinful of booze so wasn't exactly in top form. Only got interdicted once by a code player in a Clipper but jumped out again. He didn't follow me.

There were a number of traders around too so I would've been happy enough just to waste their time when they could've been ganging up on traders, but sadly it was very quiet indeed. Maybe I'll try again soon...

Says someone who is trading on the outskirts of civilized space while the one he accuses to be a coward is right in the middle of it. Lol

I decided to head over to Lave, wanted to check out the weekly pod-cast but i was a day early and then a day late..
Anyways saw a bunch of peeps but no issues to report.

I was struck by the lack of resources, a lot of stations in the surrounding systems seemed down right poor. I cant imagine they are making enough to feed the population..
As i left i felt bad for these folks, hoping they would find some way to save their dieing economy.

If I were a pirate, I'd probably hang with the CODE. They are not mindless PvPers, they are intelligent pirates. They need to present a credible enough threat that for the person (or persons, with wings going live) that they pull over believes neither fighting nor running is a viable strategy. They don't want a fair fight - they don't want a fight at all! They want you to cooperate, maybe negotiate but always in the end pay up. If you're looking like a serious threat or a competitor of course they'll try and run you off - piracy pays poorly enough that they don't want anyone else eating at their table and letting a BH hang around to maybe jump one of them and wipe out the profits of several hours piracy with a repair bill or insurance payment when they DO have friends nearby and can convince the hunter to leave working together just doesn't make sense. You need to remember that they are in this for the money. Every tactic they employ is aimed at maximizing their revenue from piracy.

That's what Elite really needs right now, a bunch of cheating kids driving people away from multiplayer, and when no one plays any more then what do you do?

Wow, you cannot be serious coming out with pure rubbish like that. Really, you just can't be. How the hell are they cheating? What is cheating about a group of people who are co-ordinated? And where do you get off going around accusing people of cheating with absolutely no evidence at all? I doubt you have even met a CODE member. I have...

These pirate threads never cease to amuse me for several reasons.

1) Victims never seem to realize that their tears and impotent whines only serve to amuse and encourage those who are actually in it to grief. (and I'm sure there's some in the bunch - but unlike the crybabies, I don't automatically think "Surprise PvP=Griefing")

2) People don't seem to realize the game has a difficulty setting. It's called Solo and Open (or Mobius if you like jolly cooperation). Failure to use that difficulty setting then crying about it being "too hard" is absurd.

3) There are always people so ignorant of the game mechanics and how bad they are at the game that they believe anybody beating the snot out of them is "Cheating". While cheats exist (especially in a P2P environment), they aren't as widespread as these naysayers would lead you to believe.

4) There are those who fail to realize that there are people who love playing cat-n-mouse with the pirates and are enjoying the challenge. The server will not "empty" because of these people.

5 I love that my job gives me enough time to be entertained by the above.

Went to Lave yesterday to get a little buzz... I mean trade some rare Lavian Brandy with our newly formed Wing and we were thoroughly disappointed. Despite a lot of players there were no pirates interdicting us. So boring.

I will never go back to Solo though :)

The Chaos recently was getting wings of pilots reliably in the same instance as non-winged pilots, plus the little pvp fracas that is going on.

Lol at all the code members in here pretending to not be in code. Code was a bunch of cowards in eve and they will be the same here. Outnumber or run away, the code motto.
