Oh, I NEVER have a problem with that. I have a HOTAS system, and I make it my routine to throttle back as soon as I go into supercruise (often pulling back just as SC kicks in for that dynamic feeling). No, I pulled an Icarus a few times while fuel scooping and dropped into a dwarf because I wasn't paying attention, then, not once, but TWICE, while trying to repair my damaged equipment, I stupidly turned off my thrusters which kicked me out of supercruise, causing MORE damage to all components.

I once managed, after finding a couple of "Discovered Bys" and a cluster of earth likes, to hit the cowcatchers on the Mailslot at the wrong angle, bounce into the space station, and blow up.. *sigh*

That was a rough moment..

Know that one. And another time I was taking off got distracted w=hilst still holding "R" turned back to screen to see my craft bouncing around station like pinball before it exploded. A moments distraction is all it takes.

I did something even more foolish... Fell asleep mid-jump, before i had throttled down and got cooked by a black hole...
That whas my last trip, this time I'm 15000LY from sol and still 90% hull, with fingers crossed and all that jazz...

Wow must've sucked. I've almost ended up like that a few times but this just reminds me not to play while tired At least we both learned a valuable lesson. Sadly at a great cost.

Been there, done that twice too. I suspect a lot of us have

dropped into a dwarf because I wasn't paying attention
