Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Have we decided that Balandin is our preferred base now? All my ships are still stored at Knight, but it makes sense for us to all have a common starting point.

I got my ships stationed at knights as well but i also think balandin is the best choice. Close to the sun.

Hi Cmdrs!

The civil war has finally started... and I've payed a visit to the nearest low conflict zone, Knight Dock sector. I've found there two factions fighting each other, Dominion of Lugh and Lugh Defense Force, both os them marked as in "Civil war" in the System Status page (Crimson State Group marked as "Boom"). Shouldn't we find Crimson State Group as one of the contenders in these conflict zones?

Viva la revolución!

Good point. I think I'll work at shifting at least my T6 and Cobra there.

I can't see how it really matters which CSG station you launch from.

Last week when we were coordinating to do raids it took us on average an hour to get everyone in the same place with the right ships. We can't really afford that once everything kicks off - if we're all based in the same place (at least for those of us with different trading, exploring and combat ships) then it will make us more efficient.

Hi! That's an existing civil war between two tiny factions in the system. You can expect "The Big One" to kick off in the next few days...

Storm clouds gather around Lugh

The Lugh independence rallies in Allioth came to a premature and abrupt end today in light of the recent reports of Federal forces gathering in numbers on the borders of Lugh system space. Crimson State Group representatives boarded the transports in haste as reports of Federal blockades stockpiling around the local trade routes hit the news blogs around Alliance controlled systems.

It is without doubt that the Federation means to finally show its hand in what has been a long and arduous game of poker between the Federal Goliath and a small but bitterly defiant system daring to defy their domination.

In the wake of his unsuccessful attempts to reach a favourable conclusion with representatives of the Federal Alliance and the unlikelyhood of any Alliance intervention storm clouds gather apace around Lugh and its recently independent ally Sesuang.

Things indeed look grim for Lugh but when questioned Ambassador Éamonn Uí Laoghaire had this to say.

"Lugh is a sovereign state. This is an undeniable truth. An error does not become truth by multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it! Though the storm clouds gather around us, it has been written in our ancient 'Leabhar Gabhála Lugh' That the Sons of Conn will come to Lughs aid at his time of direst need. That also is a universal truth".

My plan over the next few game-days is basically to hang around in Open in my Cobra with teamspeak on, ready for orders to come through. I don't intend to stray further away than Belarsuk.

From what I can tell on TeamSpeak last night was spent mostly patching, tallying, crashing, lagging and experimenting with wings. The war council were no doubt discussing operational procedure.

What will happen today? Will 1.2's 70% war logic trump the existing boom? Will the feds march in? We'll see...probably in an hour or two.

I will join again in the Afternoon /early evening. Yesterday it was laggy as hell and i also had grafical issues depending on custom ui-colours. Lag should be better today, after most players have patched up.

The wife and kids are away for the weekend so i have plenty of time to help keep things rolling when the federation show their hand.
We are going to need to be very prepared and organised if we want this to be a success.
Many federation CMDRs are going to be making there way to us soon and i'm sure there are some already lurking in deep space through out Lugh waiting for their front-line battleships to jump in.

Something has gone wrong somewhere - we'll investigate.

Heh.

I guess all those pilots that came for a fight last night decided to play in the DoL vs LDF war to pass the time. And broke something.

I guess the "influence through combat bonds" mechanism is bugged and makes combat bonds a superior influence generator that makes everything else pale in comparison. By the looks of it I'd guess that there are no diminishing returns built into it.
