Is this a pending price drop on ships?

I thought the Vulture should cost around the same as an Asp when the details were first released a while ago. I'd be surprised with the rebalancing if it's cheaper than 15m

After using most of my assets to buy and fully upgrade one, i think anything less than 15 million will be too cheap for its performance. It is truly deadly.

I'd wager a guess that Vulture and FDL buyers will get a refund for the difference.

I think when you sell modules the price paid is always the original buying price.
For ships it is the buying price minus 10%. That's why people generally sell the modules first.
People who bought an FDL at a high price will get that same price when they sell it, and then they could rebuy.

Maybe we should also lobby for the old temperature indications and 1.0 audio!!! This is a very nice way to justify taking back less fortunate changes that have already been released.

What about the Freagle that the backers got and then sold for 40,000Cr. Will the rebate mean that the difference will be taken out of our credit balance? What about other ships that were sold, will the difference be taken retroactively? :D

The way it was explained, was that any ship you own at the time that is reduced in price, you will bet a refund of the difference.

Lowering taxes on them... it's a start, but won't make a huge difference.

Average tax rates in the EU, between 18% and 22%. So let's say 22% at the top.

On a 22 million credit ship, that would indicate around 1,716,000 in taxes.

So they wouldn't drop the taxes completely, just lower them. Say... 50%?

So 50% drop in taxes on a 22 million priced ship would leave it at approximately

...Just over 21 million

Horray for tax drops....

But at least they are starting somewhere, which is a good sign they are listening

Michaels post says a reduction on ''Non Trade Ships'', so I think it is quite obvious really, not so worried about a refund, just the fact that a lot more peeps will be happy than the ones that will be sad now chaps. More people lobbying for a lowering of prices.....I do have a lot of time each day and no kids....but a hell of a lot of people playing this game are oldies like me and have a family....so no 60 hours a week and bingeing on Elite all day so they will never get to the ships they desire....by all means don't make it a cake-walk to an Ani or a Corvette but make it hard....fair.....and fun.....then you don't mind the bad deaths, odd bug here and there and hard slog to a large prize like a warship ingame.

10 mill for vulture, 20 mill for FDL. Stop over pricing everything.

Is there any point in someone with a full time job and only >2 hours a night to play? I honestly think this game is becoming only worth playing if you have no job , no offense intended. But there is nothing much interesting you can do with the low price ships - even my viper costs 2.2 million after upgrades.

I don't believe there is an actual tax system in the game. This is just an RP friendly way of dropping the price to whatever FD has decided it should be at.

Oooo...Oooo...Me....I'll take the Steaknives deal.... I will take 10 Federal Dumperships of your hands and scrap them for the production of the Universes biggest statue of Spock.

So I'm curious, I hate the FDL because its jump range is so limiting combined with its fuel tank and i want to sell it - what do my fellow forum goers think is the best plan to get screwed the least? Should i sell it now, take the 10mil hit then buy another one and pretend it never happened, or do you think FD will refund owners the difference between the old and new price?

really don't want to go trade to make that 10mil back.... but BH really isn't buffed for me, 20 minutes = 40k, 11 sidewinders, 4 vipers 2 cobras all low rank, what is wrong with these spawns give me some big high rank ships already i'm not low rank :/

Derath, have yo been to a resource extraction site lately?

They have been rebalanced, and are amazing now. Made 1.6 mill in an hour last night in a vulture. Should be even more fun for you in an FDL. Dropships, clippers, pythons, anacondas everywhere. All with 30-60k bounties.

You're welcome.... ;)

With twice as many annoying nuisances (aka police craft) to get in your way, ram into you and fly through your beam lasers... :)
.
At least from what I've seen.

Sorry for all guys that "jumped the gun" and tossed countless Millions of Credits at the new ships http://www.falconfly.de/img/chatt.gif
I don't mind. It's not as if making countless millions of credits in this game is particularly difficult.

If players who bought the Vulture, for example, start demanding a refund when/if the price drops, then it should be elemntary to fix - just allow them to sell the ship back at full price for a few days, then buy the ship at a new price. Simple and (hopefully) relatively painless to code.

I don't care though. It's not like it's real money.

It's been said before, ease up on the trigger Tex.
I managed to go hostile to SA ships today without them turning red. They kept telling me "Die, freebooter!" and shooting me, but I just couldn't see which one it was in the morass of ships. Made me lul.

I'm not complaining, btw. I've always thought the "it's OK, you only shot me a bit" mechanic to be absurd.
