Yeah I am not doing great but having a lot of fun. I had something strange happen with audio breaking up and then all of a sudden it would come back and I'd be in poor shape. But like has been said that could have been the wing of players chasing us around.

A picture of a merc duo-wing of 8 about to ambush some fed commanders who jumped in just out of radar range in a combat zone. All have hit throttle at once, coming in from off map, and are about to engage.

I personally am hoping everyone on this thread is having a grand time of it. Everyone has worked hard since release, here and elsewhere, and everyone deserves to enjoy this. Stop and realize what we all have accomplished....then get out there and win Lugh from the Feds!

Not entirely sure but I may have shot up a CSG supporter in a conflict zone. Looking at the thread this morning I see a few names I recognise from last night. But can't be certain, needless to say I only engaged people in conflict zones and only hostile targets so either you had joined the feds or something was wrong with the scanner.... Thinking about it, does the friendly fire fix apply to selected faction in a conflict zone or is it just people in wings?
Apart from that had great fun tearing up the place with nightstorm, orfeboy and jez. Made almost half a million in shared combat bonds! And didn't have to spend it all on repairs!

It happens with friendly fire, as soon as you hit a player that on the same side you turn hostile to the other players on the same fraction as you. Happened to me last night, I went for the close hard points and high tail it away, jump back into SC then return to the conflict zone.

Someone on twitter was saying that he wanted to join one of our wings but couldn't find anyone. That says to me we're missing an opportunity. How should we organise that? We sort of need a list of:
CMDRS wanting to join a wing
CMDRS in an incomplete wing that want people to join
It's sort of a match-making thing. I'm tempted to write a PHP web app for it, but that would take me away from the fighting... The other option is just a chat interface, either the main Elite Dangerous group on GBN or sirrius42's IRC channel idea. Thoughts?

Why not just commanders express their need to join a wing here on the forum and then other players can PM them. Problem solved.

Another option is teamspeak channels by conflict zone, this would allow comms to flow between multiple wings in the same zone...... not that I could even get teamspeak to work properly! (binding the same key for PTT that was bound to FA off was not a good start to my voice comms journey).

Had a lot of fun last night. Wasn't much use (maybe 80k in bonds - which went some of the way towards paying off the insurance bill) but learned a lot from my first time in wings. I particularly enjoyed forming up with a bigger ship and just helping out with his targets. When focussing fire targets drop like flies.
When I first got on there were a few people hanging around Balandin asking what was going on. I think it might be handy for someone to play matchmaker during busy spells. A single point of contact in Knight or Balandin for wings who have a free spot and CMDRs looking for a wing.
There was a lot of bother last night because of a bug (or feature) that caused people to fail to receive wing invites. I had it both on invites I sent and invites I failed to receive. Hopefully that'll get sorted out quickly.
I got really frustrated last night, the two last times I jumped into a combat zone, everything turned red. I was killed by friendlies the last time and decided to quit. I think I'll go back to trading.
