Is this a pending price drop on ships?

With twice as many annoying nuisances (aka police craft) to get in your way, ram into you and fly through your beam lasers... :)
.
At least from what I've seen.

Killed more large ships than i could count in my vulture.

I never had an issue with it, not sure what you are doing wrong.

RES sites are amazing now.

Probably picked a site with too many peelers. It was hard to get clear shots, still I got 200k in bounties before an eagle decided to stick his wing in my line of fire, making me instantly persona non grata.

Average tax rates in the EU, between 18% and 22%. So let's say 22% at the top.

I totally realise that the EU want to have control over every aspect of our lives in the present day but I would really hope that by 3300Ad their influence will have waned and they won't be setting tax rates for the entire galaxy.

Lowering taxes on them... it's a start, but won't make a huge difference.

On a 22 million credit ship, that would indicate around 1,716,000 in taxes.

So they wouldn't drop the taxes completely, just lower them. Say... 50%?

So 50% drop in taxes on a 22 million priced ship would leave it at approximately

...Just over 21 million

Horray for tax drops....

But at least they are starting somewhere, which is a good sign they are listening

Tell that to anyone in the UK who smokes. 16.5% + £3.68 on a pack of 20 - that works out as between 55% (for an expensive pack of 20) and 62.5% (for a cheap pack of 20). That's not including VAT, either - then it shoots up to about 67%/74%. Factor in the income tax and NI that you've already paid on the money you're handing over, and you're at around 80-85% tax.

Sorry if this has been answered before here, but do we know if the price reduction is only for dedicated combat ships?

The multirole ships like the Cobra, Asp, Python, Clipper and Anaconda are very good traders so should be unchanged?

I'm just curious of peoples expectations of which ships will get the reduction.

And combat ships certainly smoke, so there you go.

Were can i find the FDL for sale
I haven't seen one yet, sorry, but then i haven't been looking for one very hard either. My advice would be to go to some high tech system with a large population. I know the vulture is available on LHS 3447.

If you take ED shipyard as your reference, then the only ships affected by the price drop would be : Eagle, Viper, Vulture and Fer de Lance. The first two really don't need any price drop though lol.

I'd be interested to know WHEN those price drops are going to be implemented....

They have just grown into an galactic bureaucracy instead of an continental one. The ony certain things in life is death and taxes...

Interesting approach. So, should we expect Vulture at 5 mil range, and FDL at 25? Testing the other extremes I mean :D

Hehe, maybe they have already decided on the absolute min side of things and were just testing the max now... :p

With replicator technology in place, the manufacturing costs of a FDL are about 13 credits. The rest is taxes. So, tax cuts can be quite good.
