fix game

I can not get your up grade to work on 1,2 for 2 day now, I got the Type 6 after my type 9 blow up. What about me not playing for hole day since 1.2 update. I pay you real money to play and I can not play. Hear an idea for 1.3 up date - if player can't afford insurance for their ship it is in impound lot. you get put in sidewinder till you make en an-off to pay for insurance. then customer be happy and get there ship back that they grind for for months. I wold fix your update so player don't have grind the update button for days just to play. Oh what am I saying it not confirmed that i will ever get update to work. You bin working on this game for over 2 years and have no idea that maybe a player is disabled and can not do math good for insurance or remember day and time of lost ship. Just because you find it funny when player loose ship because player not smart like you maybe player feel like since you are so smart you should have made game that disabled player can play with out you reminding them how dumb they are for being disabled.
 
I still think they need to sit down and play some of the space sims that have come out in the last 20 years
I'm sure they have, and I'm sure they have wonderful ideas for deep mission structures. However, it isn't trivial to implement such a complex system, and their plans for it may rely on other features being implemented first (e.g. persistent NPCs). The mission structure we have now is clearly the minimal implementation
[*] to get the game out. We know from previous dev comments that they're working on improvements to missions -- for all we know that might be what PowerPlay is all about -- so we really just have to be patient and allow them time to improve.

[*] You only need to read the DDF archives to know that the "design" for many game features was much deeper than actually ended up in the release. It's a disappointment that has been regularly voiced, and continuing to voice it isn't going to change how quickly the situation is rectified. The one thing we're really missing is explicit dev confirmation of which features are going to be looked at in future.

Here's an idea - If you can't afford insurance, don't fly it and instead buy/fly a Sidewinder until you can? Same result, but one simply relies on some forethought!

The game should warn players when they take off though if they do not have the finances to cover their insurance! It's a bit bonkers people can lose months of work down to a simply oversight/mistake. The game will warn you your landing gear isn't down, but won't warn you that you could lose everything you own!

Here's an idea - If I lose My Type 9 because I upgrade My ship with 6A frame ship drive that cost over 16mill and cost of insurance go up and forget that i need to check insurance cost get slapped with dummy made mistake ha ha you now in sidewinder then I grind all the way back to an Anaconda. Maybe you should ask me how to play this game

While I agree with you regarding the landing gear warning, I like the no warning about insurance. Its harsh, but so is space, and yes I have lost everything in the past and had to restart in a sidewinder with 1000cr.

Maybe an option could be available to pre-pay your buy back cost, kind of like a deposit so you know you are 100% covered.

Good idea but I suspect the sort of person that would fly without funds available for an insurance claim is unlikely to prepay their insurance when they could instead spend the credits on cargo/upgrades.
 
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but at 49 pages, tl:dr....

Is there something funky about the download? Got about halfway through and it came to a screeching halt. Telling me 12+ hours to complete now.

This wasn't in the brochure.

Edit: Meh.. After about 45 minutes of sitting doing nothing it suddenly woke up and started downloading again. Must be slammed. Guess that's a good sign for the company.

Auto Docking not working

Hi,

I noticed since the update that the auto docking occasionally fails and my ship will either sink through the floor or crash into walls and blow up or gets pushed backwards through the station entrance.

My D-Scanner doesn't activate when I use my secondary fire since the 1.2 update. Any ideas?

I'm guessing it's just me then!? Can't find a way of activating it manually. It still picks up unexplored stars when I'm close by, but I can't force it to scan the area for other 'unexplored' like I could before, using secondary fire.

Sure you've got the correct fire group selected?
I used mine yesterday, and it worked fine on secondary fire.
 
how to turn around with debug camera in station ? i just can forward, back, roll up and down, but i don't find how to turn around.... someone can help please ?
