In the options we have the option to set a keybind to mute the mic.
You can choose to set it to Toggle or Hold.
However... this means you can choose to set it to Hold... which effectively means "Push to Mute"
This is completely backwards when it comes to open voice comms. We don't want "Push to Mute", we want "Push to Talk".
Why do we want "Push to Talk"?
So that people have to actually PUSH a button to talk rather than leaving it on open mic.
Why is open mic a problem?
Because noone is interested in listening to people in the Wings shouting commands to Voice Attack, talking to their wife, mouthbreathing, farting, banging utensils together while eating at the computer, not to mention feedback because some people decide to play using a mic without headsets but have the game sounds roaring out of their 5:1 dolby surround instead.
Please, for the love of the Spaghetti Monster, change Push to Mute to Push to Talk.
Push to Mute was fine when there was only voice comms directly to one other party, but with 4 people in a Wing, having it on open mic by default is the worst idea ever.
Thanks.
