AFK Capital ship camping for free money

nobody is making out that its widespread Kaeldian, we are making out that its a big deal :p, not only is it an extremely cheap way for them to earn credits - its also a tug of war community goal where they get unfair huge contributions from the occasional (rare) person doing this!

Your cobra is a beginner ship, though, as for the relevancr, just look at the Fed community goal. That copitol shop is a massive advantage, whether it is farmed Afk or not

Yah, I've wondered that - that ship does allow me to make 4X the credits before being forced back to base. So it does feel like we've been fed an enormous advantage. And with the impending invasion event in a neighboring system, it's starting to feel like the entire outcome has been staged.

Gonna grab the money while I can though.

You can sit AFK at the Lugh capital ship and rack up 15 million+ in a couple hours. I wouldn't mind if there wasn't a community goal opposing the federation but right now there is literally no way the crimson state will win.

Is this sort of behavior intended? Is it Frontier's way of railroading the storyline?

i have yet seen a single cap ship, where is it?

Go to the 11th planet in Lugh and look for the High Intensity Conflict node. If your in solo, you'll get treated to the sight of it warping in once the instance has been active about 10 to 15 seconds. Truly glorious to behold, especially with the vocals that cut in on the music at that point.

There is no need to afk etc. I took my vulture in to the high intensity combat zones both the standard and the one with the capitol ship just to see what the fuss is all about, with gimballed pulse lasers shield booster and 3 hull upgrades i was in the top 40% in around 2 hours maximum. combat zones are the ultimate stress relief in ED didnt even camp round the Capitol ship just went blowing up anything worth hitting with dangerous or above combat ranking, i dont tag npcs for the easy kills etc, just treat it like a normal npc uss combat scenario shoot n keep shooting untill they are dead, may not be the most efficient way to do it, but at the end of the day at least i will feel like i earned any rank i get. the vulture is in its element in the combat zones.

thank you my friend!

but i can imagine that i can't contribute to the community goal in solo right?

Well that's pretty easy going there, the most dangerous thing there is hitting the capital ship or one of your own ships by mistake... killed 4 Anacondas in a row without taking a single hit! Just cashed in 1m credits :)

The mines are annoying though, keep targeting them even if I'm being attacked by another ship!

Those mines are the reason I keep my point defense mounted. they don't do a lot of damage, but I like having them cleared by the point defense to keep my radar from getting to cluttered.

No one is forcing anyone to earn too many credits here.

As someone whose been playing pretty constantly since gamma, and has just reached 40mil credits in assets and finally moved on from my Cobra to a Vulture (hardly any trading) - I really appreciate the opportunity to make some fast cash -

I think as long as these Cap ship zones come and go in the game it's nice variety, it's good fun.

I don't AFK - and I don't care at all if others do - that's up to them, doesn't affect me - but I personally don't want it changed as I enjoy the combat and the earning: might be able to afford a decent size ship this year if I play a few of these goals now and then.

Mattensky, the problem is that players fighting for thr federation are in direct competition with players fighting for the crimson state group, and the copitol shop predetermines the outcome if the fight.

This problem was caused by all the people who complained that NPC's were stealing there kills, I am more then happy if things went back to the way it used to be, last shot on target got the bounty. But that isn't going to happen because I am guessing the majority of people don't want that so suck it up and accept that having a battleship in a location means WIN for everyone.
