This is the result of players complaining that NPC's kept sealing our kills, we brought this on ourselves.
I never complained about NPC kill stealing and I was opposed to the changes that "fixed" it.
Anyway, that isn't even the prime issue behind this exploit.
Can we move on to legitimate exploits like nav lock teleporting? Cross vast distances in an instance and refill your shields every single time in under 6 seconds. That can and does break Pvp combat, yet no one discusses it because again, apparently afk farming the brain dead npcs is so much worse than mindlessly farming them currently.
All exploits should all be addressed. This thread is about the taking advantage of how conflict zones currently function, not nav lock teleporting. While the latter is certainly an issue, it's not this issue.
Did you skip everything else of my post?
Even if you prevent AFK farming, the Capital ship still provides a massive advantage when fighting for combat bonds
Did you skip everything else of my logic?
The capital ship should provide an immense benefit in combat, but this does not imply it needs to skew the community goals.
Crimson NPCs should not be attacking the capital ship at all, not unless they have overwhelming numbers. If they never achieve overwhelming numbers, they should never come within weapons range of the vessel, and most certainly not in groups of three that can be defeated piecemeal.
Leave everything exactly the same as it is now, but make the AI use some vaguely sound strategy and tactics, everyone has to work equally hard for their goal.
If ED was a strategy game I was playing, I would not throw three fighter waves at twenty fighters and a capital ship. I would collect them, 20km away, untill I had sixty of them, then I'd wipe CZ clean of feds in one move. The counter would be for the Feds to send out sorties to find my fighters and deal with them before their numbers became too great.
Conversely, all the Crimson ships could just disengage when a capital ship showed up. They are fighting a guerrilla war, and throwing ships away in futile assaults is just wasteful...attack the enemy where they are weakest, not strongest. The Feds can't collect bonds if no one fights them.
