Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Whoo! I finished in the top 15%, but I'm happy to have helped at all. I came here as a cynical Imperial - I was curious about the events going on and was hoping to make some quick cash out of the situation.

But the sheer energy of the movement and the people here convinced me to help this side. I originally came in my Vulture, but seeing the situation needed supplies, went to fetch my Clipper and fit it for cargo.

Congratulations, Sons of Conn!
Exactly the same story here, down to the ship models.
Thanks, CSG for this experience.
Will always be your ally

It took me a few goes to get the Space Cow™ to actually drop cannisters, is it just me, or does it only actually drop stuff if hit with kinetic weapons? I went through 3 of them before I tried using multi-cannons, which work a treat. I seem to be managing to get the thing to drop 15 or so before some damn CSG NPC decides to knock the hatch to 0%...

Z...

Or use limpets.

Kill the 3 point defences in the Lakon first and away you go. It works well as long as the cow is not killed by CSG friendly NPC first.

Don't waste your time :) Target the fat-cow, get off its shields, down the cargo hatch to 40%, get some canisters and jump... Rinse and repeat ;-)

All CSG operatives are to now direct an all out assault upon all trade transports entering or leaving the Khaka system. These transports are conducting a military operation on behalf of the Federation.

All pilots should gear up with a cargo scanner and set themselves to work.

This will not be tolerated in local space.

Send the Federation packing boys!

Well that's an order I didn't expect.. So we'll start pirating? As an interdicted paramilitary transport still counts as a civilist for the game :)

A cargo scanner will quickly determine if the transport is innocent or not. Piracy is nothing but conjecture. It depends on where you are standing and upon your point of view. Our actions might be classed as piracy under Federation law, but we are not governed by Federeation law. We are governed by the laws of the people of the Lugh system and under our law we are defending our home. We are defending Lugh's realm from Lugh's enemies who seek to harm Lugh's people. That is not piracy. That is called fighting smart.

The Federation are breaking the ancient laws of The Sons of Conn and their presence here is invalid. They have the option of leaving in peace but they choose to bend our will to THEIR opprsessive laws. The concept of one person handing down the law to the many is as backward and barbarous as any action of any dictator in the history of humanity. True equality and just law stems from the many for it is the many that must live under that law.

We shall not be accused of the same mindless mayhem as that bloated pig Halsey. The ships we destroy are carrying cargo that under their own rules of war mark them out as military convoys.

All ships running military trade runs in the Khaka system are transports of war and will pay the full responsibility for their actions.

But as someone probably wiser than me put it some time ago:

"... This is not the end. This is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."

Like your quotes this morning, Viajero and orfeboy :)

+1 Rep for both

Let's win this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr!

Sorry, boys. I don't mind legit military targets where I collect combat bonds on a merc contract, a little clandestine supply or a touch of smuggling - those are just ordinary business, after all. But if you're asking me to hoist he jolly roger in full view of fed cops? That's bad for business. Wouldn't take a contract to do it to you, won't take a contract to do it to them. Doesn't matter how much I hate the feds or support your cause. I got limits and so does my crew. If I took that one even my crooked contacts inside the fed would be after my hide. I'm in no hurry to be as popular as a case of Herpes or worse, as popular as president Halsey. I'll run you some more intel while it lasts and shoot up any feds that object but you won't find me boiling traders in fed controlled space where their cops can see it. I got wider concerns than one system.

How do you expect to get a real, proper test of the system without opposition, though?

Frontier said it was possible to influence the galaxy, we set out to try and find out how to flip a system from independent to neutral. It's been 3 1/2 months of hard work, 1000's of man hours from the core group. Thousands have joined the cause since the war started, a huge thankyou to all those that helped.

We want to flip the system and make CSG the party that controls the system, that is the test. We've had opposition at every turn; traders coming and going, Galnet news enticing people to come and see Lugh and dropping us loads of points overnight.

We are nearly at the goal, it's almost in our grasp. Telling other people how to win the war against us, well that would just be silly now.

Ive tried both ways, i.e. just shooting at the thing and with limpets. With limpets I seem to extract roughly double the amount of cannisters than by just sooting. Limpets seem much more efficient to me.

I agree.

I'm going to concentrate on the Spear of Lugh this evening.
I understand your arguments Orfeboy regarding the fact that they're effectively military convoys but my desire is to defend Lugh from the current onslaught rather than take the battle to them in other systems and leave Lugh's borders less defended.

Happy Hunting though!

Do we need to do that in Open or not ?
Is destroying NPC traders with the cargo full of weapons really helpfull for the cause ?
What are we supposed to do if we can't find any convoy in open ?

I dont think NPC´s contribute in any way or form in these scenarios... Yet. It would be great if they did though (albeit possibly at a lower level of efficiency) so if all trading players retreat to SOLO at least the blockade could have some meaning as co operative PVE.

So, as it stands, the blockade in Khaka is eminently a PVP thing. We need to stop players delivering weapons in Khaka to slow down and hamper the Federal Community Goal there.
