Does the gameplay look somewhat disorienting?

A couple of friends have the same issue with games. Never had it myself, I rather like the incredible pace of fighters in the capital ship video. I guess it is the fact you can turn around the Z axis as much as you want that makes most people feeling dizzy on that kind of games, just the same way actual real fighters pilots have to get used to be able to see the world upside down while racing at incredible speeds. It is something you can get used to I think, starting slowly and increasing the pace little by little.

Everyone is different but many games cause me motion sickness (anyone remember Descent?) - but I've had no troubles with Elite.
LOL everyone who watch me play Descent 1,2 and 3 would get sick. I think it was the way I fly :D. Also direction was never a problem. I owe that one to Elite.

I'd never thought about it before but I guess that's why I never had a problem with orientation in Descent either.

"Which way is up?"
"Which way do you want it to be?"

So far the only game that's given me a problem with motion sickness is the first Portal. I think it was level 18 that did for me, it was one with a button on a very small podium. I struggled and for reasons I can't remember it involve falling downwards then sideways.
