2. Won't work. Read the rules again: it states from getting the canister to selling the canister you MUST be in open play
If I am not mistaking totally, they will follow the same protocol as they did when publishing the first XXX... well... the first Triple Elite gamer:
- after carefully having examined the log files involved
- after carefully having examined every "first" claim for these 5 prizes,
will the FD come out with the official announcement.
Again "I", believe the first news on this matter will come from the "friends of the VERY FIRST FIVE", and only after the FD have had their due time to verify everything involved, will they come out with their announcement.
Stay put! Compete for the very 5!

Perhaps there is a "plot" / a "conspiracy" behind all this urging towards "combined effort"?
One can never know for sure...
Anyway, the FD has their right to place the new item(s) on any place they ever want. And "we" have to only find them
On a more serious note,
- this "content-in-game" is again an addendum to what the gaming community has had up this date
- one can be, either selfish and not to share any info to anyone / or more of a co-operative type of a gamer if he/she is willing to share the info with his/her "friends/private group members"...open even.
Is that "the name of this game", eventually?
I stopped searching, instead of that I had 1-2 hour fun with others around the destination station

fwiw i've gone through the online galnet archive and searched for Reynhardt IntelliSys and there are no previous mentions of the faction.
also i dont know what kind of life some of you are living but £900 is just shy of a month's income for me. the average annual income in the UK last I checked was something like £22-24k which after tax is going to work out at around a grand a month take home pay, and with rent/mortgage, bills etc on top of that your average person isn't going to have a lot left to blow on a graphics card.

i've seen some posts on here about searching high tech systems because the graphics card is, y'know, technology, but it is also a computer component. which economies produce computer components? industrial.

Yeah I spent about 1.5 hours getting out here lmao. When I first arrived in Open Play there was a CMDR who was AFK in the only parking spot that Hutton Orbital has so I had to go Solo to check the commodities market. I was more surprised that Hutton only has one docking spot though...
To taotoo,
please read again the original announcement and make a note on this:
"To be eligible to win one of the five cards, CMDRs taking part in this competition must remain in Open Play from the moment they obtain the Titan Black, to after they have sold it at Godel Ring."
So,
there is not a chance of anyone obtaining the very canister when playing in Solo, is there?

I will post all the infos I have about the possible hint "Reynhardt IntelliSys", because it's the only word that seems to be a clue !
Facts :
- Reynhardt IntelliSys is a faction (Independent Corporate)
- The only system where we can find them for now is Leesti (currently Civil War with this faction)
- Stations at Leesti don't sell the card

Hypothesis :
- There may be another system with this faction and the card
- Maybe this system is Independent, Corporate, and need to sell Computer Component
- Post from 10/02 : maybe the faction was added in Patch 1.1 because FD know that there will be a contest about it later
- If "Reynhardt IntelliSys" is really a clue, maybe FD created the current Civil War at Leesti for this contest in order to easily find Leesti and this faction ! Why ? Maybe because there is another hint at Leesti that could lead to the system with the card !

Pick it up in open. Travel to station in solo. Drop it off for friend in open. Friend picks up and drops off in open.

For player A in Taotoo's example, yes, you're right. He wouldn't be eligible. But since you don't have to BUY the canister, player B would be in the clear - he obtained it in open and sold it in open. The only thing preventing this scheme would be the canisters not appearing in any other game mode AT ALL except open, and we have no proof that they don't.
